Everything! Small, quiet, peaceful, friendly, clean, level pitches, hard-standing, well kept, spacious…

If you are after a grass pitch with on-site entertainment this IS NOT the site for you.

However, if you are after a well kept, peaceful site with clean toilets, warm showers and friendly staff this IS DEFINITELY the place for you :)

Tony & Emma (site managers) were friendly and welcoming - the site introduction was great and we felt able to approach them throughout our stay if needed. John (cleaner/handyman) was friendly and conscientious - the toilets and showers were kept super clean.

The pitches are large hard standing (gravel) so rock pegs required if pitching awnings etc. All pitches were flat (no levelling ramps required) and have own EHU and water points.

The toilet and shower blocks were kept clean and stocked with toilet roll, soap and spray disinfectant (covid). The showers are proper hot showers, not the usual horrid campsite timed press buttons, and the shower head holder is height adjustable.

There is a single washing up area - however because this is a small site it was not a ever a problem.

The site is situated in such a quiet area - sitting out at night is silent, except for the odd sheep bleat, owl hoot or other wildlife noises. The road is quiet. Earplugs were not needed and we slept in until 10am each morning - which is usually unheard of on a campsite!
The skies at night are dark, wonderful for stargazing - we were treated to a fantastic view of the Milky Way and numerous shooting stars. Off ground campfires are allowed and there is even an on-site communal firepit on the grassy area for use if required.

Phone signal can be a bit ‘hit or miss’ (I’m with O2) but this just added to my ability to relax.

There isn’t much for older kids, but there is a grassy area with a climbing frame, swings and slide for the younger ones. The grassy area is also used for the campers dogs - this was always clean with no abandoned turds whilst we were there.

There are local walks and the site is good for visiting Lyme Regis, Charmouth, Axminster, Chard etc by car.

This is one of those sites which I almost don’t want to tell anyone about to ensure that there is a space for when (not if) my family and me return, but this site really is so lovely, and the staff so friendly, that it deserves to be known. Truly a hidden gem.

Leaving - wish we could stay longer

What a site!!! Where do I start.

We are a party of two families, one of us with a son of 14, and the other with a son of 13 (the son of 11 refuses to go camping and would rather stay in luxury with the grandparents).

We were met immediately on arrival by the manager Tony, who showed us round and advised of some do’s and don’ts, coupled with enough banter to rival a comedy club!!

The pitches were massive, well maintained and individually serviced with water and electric. It was a first for us being on a hard standing pitch, but we were well prepared with rock pegs for our awning and it turns out that the awning remained much cleaner than when we pitch on grass.

The site was lovely and quiet, we had camp fires every night, we chatted the night away but were respectful of the other campers. We saw buzzards flying over, heard the owls and I saw the best shooting star I have ever seen when we were star gazing on the clear nights.

The toilets and showers were cleaned regularly, the showers were hot and any issues were sorted straight away.

Within our camping party, we have Eric the dog, who is a bit of a barky sod, John the care taker went above and beyond to help him settle, with some very funny moments and lots of care and attention of which was massively appreciated.

Tony never failed to throw some jokes our way and Emma was always on hand to sort things out if needed.

We visited Lyme Regis, Charmouth, Seaton and wandered into the nearby village, all of which we loved, and the boys were thankful to have use of their phones during our down times, as it’s a quiet site.

All in all it was perfect for us. Thanks Tony, Emma and John.

Nice small site, away from the main road so very peaceful. Good facilities, water and power supply reliable. Nice little play area for the kids too!

Lovely polite welcome, lovely sized pitches, nice and quiet, play area for the kiddies, well maintained and looked after, close to Charmouth.

Lovely welcome by owner and told us where everything was and made us feel very welcome. Including about local wildlife that visits the park and the owls in the tree over the pitches (e.g. badger, foxes, rabbits and deer). Only around 10-12 pitches so very quiet (statics were there too but separate) and pitches were huge in size. A lovely site and would thoroughly recommend. A nice play area and also able to use a fire pit in the grounds if you would like to. Told about nice walks around site by owner too. Very near Lyme Regis and the coast.

Small playpark and large grassy area for kids.
We had pitch 5 right next to washing up and toilet block which suited us great.
