Nice site - toilet blocks etc were exceptionally clean-level site

No Wi-fi, normally not a problem but had trouble watching the Euro’s

Lovely caravan site to stay. Since 2022 year when I started caravaning :) and visited many other caravan parks King Forest Park is the best one.

Nothing at all. It's a lovely friendly place.

The staff were friendly and accommodating and the site was very well maintained and facilitated. The showers were spacious with a good drying and dressing section within, hot water with good pressure and timer. The WC's were very clean and as away from hand basins had sanitiser within the cubicle, extractor fans and very nice air freshener kept up the standards. The freezer box was a Godsend as the temps were high so we could refreeze our ice packs and get some beers cold too! I could not fault any of the facilities at Kings Forest. Hot ash bins, mixed waste bins as council separated at plant, spacious plots, waste water etc. all in all spot on.

Nearby easy access to cool pine forest gave a beautiful walking place and the Anglo-Saxon village was a stones throw away too, most recommended on a weekday when a lot quieter.

Apart from all the great things we loved about Kings Forest and its surroundings there were issues that prevented it being perfect.

The camping grounds are open and without mature trees to offer any shade... as it was roasting during our stay that made life very uncomfortable in a tent with no escaping the Sun in a North/South facing field. Our tarp set up to attempt shelter from the Sun was difficult to establish any shade with and the wind was an additional issue to overcome also.

I would recommend choosing an electric pitch, whether required or not, as this will bring you a lot nearer the facilities, the non-electric field is quite away from these, though it had a chemical toilet in the middle of the field I wouldn't have wanted to use it.

There is noticeable audible activity from 6AM onwards from work beginning on the 'farm' as there are stables etc and horse boxes and general works to the site and facilities... more noticeable though was everyday activity from a group of permanent stay residents who were going about their daily business going off to and returning from work and so forth... being awoken at 6AM by 'normal' activity takes away the holiday vibe for me. To avoid this stay away from field number 2 and do a reccy before you settle in.

If you run out of anything there isn't a local shop nearby, 15 mins in either direction take you to a services area or Tesco. There isnt a nearby village and therefore no pub to walk to, but we knew that.

Kings Forest is a very efficiently run, well organised, friendly campsite with beautifully clean large showers and loos. We stayed in a pod, which was perfect for us as it saved us putting up our tent for an overnight stay to attend a concert in Thetford forest. The campsite has access to the forest for some lovely walks. All the pitches are flat and very well maintained. Excellent value for money.

Beautiful scenery of the wildlife and horses, easy access to good sized pitches with electric. The forest was wonderful to walk around and perfect for the dog. All facilities were clean and plenty of them. Extremely peaceful we will be visiting again.

Well spaced, immaculate toilets, awesome set up for grey water waste and toilet dump. Would definitely recommend.. Also very friendly owners.
