To be honest, we've stayed before and returned, so it's fair to say we like it. Last time we had glorious weather, this time we had high winds and showers, but I'm delighted to say it didn't affect our experience at all.

Warm welcome on arrival to a site in a beautiful setting. The site was peaceful as adult only and well laid out with plenty of room between the spacious pitches.
Small clean and well kept toilet and shower block with plenty of hot water.
Very dog friendly with walks in kings forest just over the driveway.

A beautiful retreat.

There's nothing to not like.

Huge area to choose pitches from. We needed an EHU but friends with us didn't have one and they have 2 x EHU hookups at the edge of the grass field so we could still camp together. Friendly staff and all the facilities you need. It felt like you were on a ranch with wide open spaces surrounded by horse padocks. The forest by the site and the country park with a cafe were a short walk from the site.

There was a new toilet block being built at the no EHU grass field but only the toilets were open so it was a long walk to the shower and washing up but this will be solved once completed so not a huge problem and OK for future visitors. It was very open so quite windy so take wind breaks. The ground was incredibly dry but they had bricks so we could still bbq safely. No wifi and phone signal would come and go but good if you want to be off grid

Beautiful surrounding with lovely walks through the forest for the dog. Close to Bury so we were able to take a day trip there. We opted for a non-electric pitch as we were only there for two nights, and the non electric area was super quiet, even on a bank holiday with lovely weather! Shower facilities (on the electric pitch area) were clean and tidy.

Non-electric area showers were yet to be set up, just would have been nice to have known about that before booking as the electric pitch was super busy so we decided to shower in the evenings to miss the rush. The female showers randomly dropped hot water so made for a slightly uncomfortable experience. Partner loved his nice warm shower though!
