The surrounding countryside is lovely and the location is great for the estuary, river and Barmouth. The pitches are well spaced and varied in size. There are chickens and horses around the site.
Host was friendly and accommodating.

The shower block is not insulated or heated and it’s really cold. I know it’s aimed at wild camping but a hot shower is a must. No seating to change and quite cramped. The pot wash area has no drainers and are next to the vanity sinks.
There is work going on at various areas of the sites and roads are very rocky for cars; could all do with being tidied up.
Our pitch was definitely not child friendly with drops down to the river.
Not a negative but there is no phone signal at the site and only internet by the office.

Peaceful, amazing walks nearby. Feels like wild camping but with facilities not too far away. Perfect.

The location is ideal for hiking. So peaceful and tranquil too! Toilets are basic, showers have good pressure and are basic as you would expect as this is near to 'wild' camping. Owner and family really friendly. Pitch level.

liked the spacing and individual nature of the pitches, great location and fantastic views

facilities quite basic... when you get there, it doesn't feel anything like the pictures, with a lot of the pitches just being off the main drive/entrance in, not remote and in the woods like I was led to believe
felt like a lot of vehicle movements throughout the evening and middle of the night, including the owner on a road roller and digger, so not entirely peaceful

Lovely location, great facilities, great service from the owner. The forest pitches were very well kept and was amazing waking up in the woods. Lots of space around and out of the way enough to feel like you’re wild camping with all the benefits of a normal campsite.

Beautiful pitch, fantastic location, clean facilities, allowed us to choose our own woodland pitch, warm showers!

Nowhere to dispose of recycling - happy to take it back with us but would've been nice and is common at most campsites.

Calm atmosphere, nice and clean everywhere. Lovely warm showers and actual toilets which was perfect. Great that we could do a late check in - would definitely recommend

The distance from the tent site to the toilets was quite far and dark at night. Maybe some small solar lights would be good. Toilet and shower facilities were great but would be much better with a main door to the building to keep the heat it a bit

We had a really great two night stay at Cefn Coed this past weekend. We arrived around 7pm and Adrian was easy to reach, showing us around the campsite and giving us options for pitches. Cefn Coed is a beautiful spot, it feels more like wild camping than pitches, but also had access to toilets and showers which were great.

Adrian was an excellent and friendly host, really chatty with great advice for where to hike and info on the local area. We'll definitely be back, and wholeheartedly recommend Cefn Coed to anyone looking to explore that part of Wales - we could've done with a few more nights!

Site was in a beautiful location, lots of walks to be done around the area.
Pitches are nicely sized and site owner was very nice.
Facilities were great and shower were nice and clean.
