Fantastic location with sweeping views of coast and countryside. 5 minute walk across a field to the beach. Fabulous facilities - clean toilet/shower block, good washing up facilities and wonderful outdoor showers all with tons of hot water. Lovely warm welcome too.

My son and I love it here, I’ve been coming for many years and it is a magnificent spot. Gary helped me with some electrical issues I had which was appreciated. I travel as a single mother female and feel very safe here. Can’t fault the place. Thankyou. We will be back.

Location was fabulous, with great views of the sea.
Dog friendly, nearly all the caravans and tents had a dog or two.
Shower block was modern, clean and spacious.
Beaches were only 10 minute walk away.
Bude only 3 miles drive and shops such as Lidl, Morrisons and B&M on the way to Bude.

We arrived to site on the 18th July. I went into the office to pay our balance; Sue was very friendly and accommodating. We drove down and found our pitch, which was very spacious, you get the width between two white posts but the length is generous and allowed for us to park the car and put up an awning. We still had enough space for the BBQ, chairs and dogs. The shower blocks are very clean, modern with lovely hot water. You do have to press the button many times as I think it only runs for 20 seconds but I am in favour of saving water and it allowed me to wash. We stayed a week, which meant we had several neighbours during our 7 days, all of whom were friendly. They have an on-site van for quick food and drinks. The pub next door was large and dog friendly, we ate there and the food was very nice. The walk to the beach is only 10 minutes. You will need to walk across Widemouth Beach to get to Black Rock for the dogs all day, but before 10am and after 6pm the beach is dog friendly. You can also walk to Bude from the coastal path or behind the camp site you can walk it to the canal. Both walks are longer than you think so you need to be able to walk for 1.5hrs to get to Bude. I couldn’t do it with mobility issues so I stayed back and took advantage of the sun, whilst my husband walked it there and back (he wanted to get a pastie and pint) and said it was harder than he thought and agreed that I wouldn’t be able to manage it. The dogs had the best time and were quite depressed when they knew we were packing up to go home (pictures of them sulking) We will definitely be back, it was a lovely site and great value for money.

There was nothing which we disliked at all.
My only recommendation would be that with so many dogs on site, it would be a bonus to have a dog washing area. I would happily pay extra to wash my dogs every day.
