Easy enough to follow the directions and signposts to find it.
Toilets were clean. Views over open countryside were good.Niepolubione: It's very close to the A4074 which you could hear road noise from all night. In the day time, the farmer was in the field next door turning the hay all day which was also noisy, and frequently blew clouds of hay dust over our camp.
Facilities were very basic, but as described on the website at least so no surprises there. However all toilets wereclustered together, so a long way to walk if you were camped at the other end of the field. Perhaps toilets could be spread out more?
There was no shade on a hot day either, so we left earlier rather than get scorched by staying another night.
Highly recommend , will definitely go back

Gorgeous walks nearby (only 30 mins walk to Wallingford which has loads of pubs and restaurants) along the Ridgeway. Could buy a fire pit kit for reasonable price which was nice for the evening.

As mentioned our facilities are as described on the website. The toilets are clustered as splitting them up in previous years caused major issues with only one block being used, meaning they became untidy unclean and full much quicker, this was not feasible in the long run. We have experimented with the loos location in the past and they are in the best spot to avoid these issues. it's also important for the servicing team to be able to efficiently access them in the same spot. But that is the benefit of choosing your own pitch is you choose your own distance to the facilities, and that is the disadvantage of choosing a pitch on the opposite side of the site from the loos. We're glad you found the facilities clean, as whilst basic the loos are cleaned to a very high standard on a daily basis.
Unfortunately we can't do anything about not having any shade, as it would take a very long time to grow trees on site to create any shade, but from the dates you did visit during the heatwave, and we can say with the great British weather it isn't often that the weather is scorching enough to cause issues, but we are sorry the weather was too warm for you.
I can honestly say that's the first time in 4 years of being open as a campsite we've had a complaint about road noise, as others will be able to read below most describe the site as peaceful and quiet. I can't say that has been an issue often the past 4 years, though I'm unsure if there may have been particularly bad traffic or the perfect storm of wind carrying sound over, but it's not a usual problem for us.
We will have a word with the farm, as we can only apologise that the harvest in the neighbouring field blew dust onto site, it sounds like the wind may have changed during their work, but this is not ideal at all. We can only apologise their work inconvenienced your stay.
