Campsite is large, beautiful, clean, quiet (yes there was a large group who were a bit loud but they were not really that loud we were camped 50m away from them it didn’t bother us and also camp manager came down arnd 11pm-00am to hush them and they did then he came up to us to apologise which was really nice)…Porta-loos were ok, I personally loved the cold showers, firepits are great and they give you lots of wood for a good price. We're so sorry you didn't enjoy your stay, it is unfortunate you say the toilets weren't clean as another camper staying during the same time period as your booking below mentions how clean the facilities were. It sounds like you may have been unlucky to visit the facilities in-between the cleaning schedule, as this weekend the loos were cleaned twice a day as per our procedure during sell out periods. But it is unfortunately the case that the toilets become less clean over much busier periods, and the peak of the school summer holidays is always much busier which is why we double our cleaning schedule during these times. We will review whether we need to look at cleaning the toilets three times a day during busier weekends.
We're sorry to hear that other campers did not return the 4 wheelbarrows to the sheds, it is very frustrating when people don't follow the clear instructions we give to return wheelbarrows as soon as they are finished with them. We caught one group on Saturday who had kept one wheelbarrow to use as a bin. We can only apologise that other campers did not follow the wheelbarrow returning rule.
