This campsite has been placed in a special location, there are many different towns to visit and explore whilst amenities are available nearby. The campsite is well kept and very friendly. The campsite managers couldn’t be more helpful or and checked we had everything we needed during our stay so it would be really enjoyable. Great for walking dogs and they’re clearly welcome.

It would be great if there could be a second toilet block for use when the campsite is busier. We stayed during the week and enjoyed the clean facilities . However when it got much busier at the weekend, it would’ve been better and easier to have a nearer block to rely on. Practically we didn’t have a problem and had access throughout our stay so it’s just a suggestion for improvement.

Absolutely lovely was scared to book somewhere we hadn’t heard off at first however so glad we did really clean & peaceful & the hot tub was amazing and spotless wish we could have stayed longer. Will definitely be coming back for a weekend stay

The couple running the park were so friendly and helpful. Lovely to chat too and care about guests having a great stay

Noisy on the camping field in the evening due to 3 families being together, bit not the iotes fault!
Quite a hill to walk to the toilet block from bottom of the field, but only due to being g so hot and me unfit!

We stayed here because it is close to family we had come to visit. The site was clean and well kept. It was really busy, but still very quiet at night. Check in was quick and easy and the man on reception was helpful. Lots of CCTV around the site for security. Good 4G signal at the site.

The road around the site could do with some repairs, the security gate was broken.

Great site with friendly atmosphere and play park is ideal for kids.

Nothing to dislike - but would be good to have a water and toilet block in the lower field.

Upon arrival was greeted by a lady who made me feel quite unwelcome - pitch up had double booked my booking (not my fault) and she wasn't happy about that. Then told me exactly how I was allowed to pitch my tent, and said the site manager would come over to check that it was done properly.

Luckily had an electric pitch which was at the top of the site so close to the facilities, if we were on a non-electric pitch it would have been a long walk. They were also quite small if the site had been fully booked. Pitches weren't marked out with lines or fencing, but the site manager did come over to tell me how much of the space I could use and check how I was pitching my tent.

The site page on pitch up also states flat pitches, which would be true if you were on the non-electric field at the bottom of the hill. All electric pitches are on a hill. Not an issue, just not what's advertised.

Overall it was a nice stay, but the lack of freedom to pitch how I'd like to, and the check-ins from the site manager (which I've never experienced in any other campsite) made this a less recommendable site than others I've been to.

It was a shame the local pubs were not serving food so had to drive for dinner but that was not in the control of the site

On arrival, my husband was met with complaints about how busy the site was, and was made to feel like our arrival was an inconvenience (great start).

The pitch assigned to us, had a lovely view of a burnt out rubbish dump! Not only is it an eyesore, but it's also a hazard. There's nothing to stop children walking onto it.

The pitches seemed quite small, and no clear boundaries between pitches, which made us feel very cramped (if you want EHU expect to be on top of your neighbours - the top of the first field resembled festival camping). There seemed to be plenty of empty spaces throughout the time we were there, which begs the question, why squash everyone together?

The children's playground looked good from a distance, but on closer inspection it was actually tired and broken in places.

There's one facilities block, located at the top of the site, so you're faced with an uphill trek, and whilst it was generally clean, its far too small to accommodate the number of people staying on site. There was also no shelter at the washing-up station, so good luck to anyone caught in the rain!

There also seemed to be a lack of drinking water points (another trek back up the hill).

Location was easy to find. Nice looking site that's well kept with good facilities. Nearby pubs were lovely with a few takeaway options too.
Ice cream & chilled drinks available in reception which was nice.
Potential for nice views (obstructed by too many tents). There is a good park for kids, but it's quite far and not in eye sight from the grass electric pitches

The electric grass pitches were far too cramped, it felt like we were at a festival. They were also not clearly marked so It was a bit of a free for all as to where your actual pitch ended up with the tent next to you pitching too far over etc. The pitch size is advertised as unlimited which it definitely isn't. Because of how busy the site was it was very loud overnight.
Maybe fine for some people but we prefer a spacious open pitch with nice views including some grass space in front of the tent.
