We arrived 10 minutes early to a closed office. After calling, we waited quite a while for someone to show up, and when they did, the welcome felt rather unenthusiastic.
Our assigned pitch, number 9, had bits of what looked like toilet paper scattered around the hard standing. The post for power and water was also very close to our pitch, meaning our neighbors had to come within a foot of our awning door to use it.
While some pitches looked more spacious and well-kept, ours felt cramped, particularly as we were next to someone who seemed to be living on-site long-term. This possibly explained the diesel heater we could hear running all night. There were several others with long-term setups, identifiable by their packed, green-stained awnings.
A large truck and trailer with "International Gypsy" written on it were just outside the entrance to the men’s toilet block, which was uncomfortable each time we needed to use the facilities. It would have been much better if long-term stays were grouped together, away from holidaymakers.
