It was easy to check in and we were well cared for as we were guided to our pitch and explained everything. The pitch size was more than enough for our car, tent and awning/extension so we didn't feel too cramped with other campers.
The facilities were well kept and functioned well and there was never a queue to use them.
The bar and restaurant area was a great place to have available when camp stove food didnt quite hit the mark. The choice was good for veggies and the prices were very reasonable. The quiz night was a lot of fun for all the family. All the staff were very helpful and friendly.
The availability of hot pastries and bread were a real treat.
The indoor and outdoor pools were a welcome place to relax and have a splash about or do some quiet lengths (although the outdoor pool shallow end is VERY shallow!)
My son enjoyed the play park and there was ample places to sit with clear sight lines so we could relax and let him enjoy himself.
The site being located so close to Charmouth and Lyme Regis make it a great base for fossil hunting which is what we filled our days with.

The breakfast menu in the restaurant annoyed me a bit.
I was told it was not possible to effectively replace the regular breakfast items with veggie items and do it at a similar price. To assemble the veggie breakfast in the same way would have meant selecting each element and adding them as an extra but these were £2 per item.
I would strongly recommend a review of the breakfast menu and the option to sub items.

The wifi is very patchy but to be honest, I didnt go away to a campsite to expect superfast broadband in all corners of the park!

And a word of warning also is that there is a large dairy farm over on the other side of the valley and the cows at night are somewhat vocal!

What a place! It was our first time at Newlands and we had the best time. We will definitely return in 2025.
Arrival and check-in easy and quick. We were shown to our pitch and we had requested one close to the park which we were given. The play park was fantastic and suited all ages.
The toilet block was a short walk away as was the washing up area and laundry room. The toilet block was fairly clean, just a few cobwebs and spiders here and there but that aside, the toilets flushed and were clean and the sinks had hot water and the sink areas were clean too. There were many showers and again they worked well and were clean.
There is a dog walking area which looked good.
The pool both inside and out are clean! I am one that doesn't like public pools but these are well maintained. You could borrow floats for your children if you didn't have any which is fab. There is an outside splash park which kept my son entertained for ages!
The changing areas were free from hair and water (as they are constantly cleaned) the showers were warm and the toilets were clean. The hairdryers were free to use and powerful. There is a sauna free to use and a jacuzzi which unfortunately was out of order on the days that we went.
The Tow Bar had such friendly staff who chatted and joked which was lovely. The entertainment was fab both day and night. The food was super however it was fairly pricey. They accommodated for my son who is pretty fussy when it comes to food due to SPD and my requests were accepted and I wasn't made to feel awkward for asking.
The soft play was great and very popular with all ages.
The outside balcony was glorious in the sun.
There is a SPAR shop on site and it had everything that you'd need apart from a cash point. We had to go into Charmouth to use a cashpoint in a Nisa which was free to use.

The games room reminded me of when I was a child as the games are fairly dated. Having said that, my son still enjoyed the car and horse racing games - very retro!
Maybe a bit of money could be spent to update the games room and it really would be appreciated by all I'm sure.

Pitches were an ok size for our t5 with awning and a car, there were plenty of facilities which were spacious and clean, shop was a spar so prices were actually cheap for a change, swimming pool was an added bonus although it was 3.50 per child which did sting abit especially as we had 5 children who wanted to swing every day, but we were really pleased with the site and would definitely recommend and would stay again

Stayed in a camping pod which was great. Quiet and comfortable.
Clubhouse and pool/gym were ace, with good entertainment all night and decent drink selection. Food however, was amazing - way beyond the standard expected. Showers and toilets were clean and never had to queue. Good access to Charmouth and SW coastal path as well.

Great location, giving you the option to go up to Golden Cap or Charmouth (or both).
Clean pool, with hot tub and sauna, and access to the outdoor pool after your paid slot indoor has finished.
Lovely carvery on a Sunday.

Each evening parties and loud music went on until 2/3AM accompanied by loud swearing, shouting, and then violence and fighting. Sadly it didn’t seem a one off but more of a theme as it come from mixed groups, each evening, originating in both ‘blue’ and ‘black’ fields.
There needs to be more security put in place to ensure this doesn’t happen at all during quiet hours, and guests are made to feel safe from threat.

Met here with our grandchildren for family weekend .
Nice clean pitch ,and a good size for Moho- Awning and their car, pitch was pretty level but did use our chocks . Short walk to the facilities from our pitch . Pitches are on stepped up levels , little steep going up onto pitches but manageable.
Busy site as we visited in August .

The area was great, a short walk to the beautiful beach and within driving distance to lots of key sights.
The kids loved the play park. The showers and toilets were good, the toilets could have been cleaned a bit more often as some were blocked but there were enough to find a clean one.

The tent space, we were put on a small area next to a road/path so nowhere to play football or games very safely outside our tent. We were also directly opposite the toilets and showers which shone the brightest light through our tent all night and so we struggled to sleep.
No fire pits is also disappointing as we love to sit outside at night but it’s too cold without a fire pit.
Indoor pool fully booked on a rainy day so have to be quick to book

We had originally booked for a motor home pitch. However we had a call a couple of hours after our booking was made to say that the site had been double booked and we were offered a free upgrade to a lodge which was delightful. The amenities at the campsite have been lovely easy to book swimming for indoor and outdoor pool. Gym available onsite. Shop on site and a restaurant in bar with a good selection of fresh food available. Fresh pastries and bread each morning (ordered the evening before). Staff very friendly, great playground for kids, arcade/ amusements. Lots to do in the local area. A short walk or drive to beach with carparks available also suitable for the motor home.

The facilities available were good. The older man that runs the shop and holds bingo on Friday nights is lovely and very kind. I went in the shop but didn't have enough money for what I needed so he said to take and and just owe him the money. Very kind. Also liked the big park for the kids, they loved it.

When we arrived and reported to reception we were told to position our caravan a certain way so the door was on a certain side. As we were at the top of the hill where there were large trees this was difficult to do and had we not had a motor mover would have been impossible.
Toilets and showers don't seem to be cleared nearly as often as they should be and the waters points & chemical waste points around site also need some attention
