The meadow for camping was amazing. Peaceful and quiet, no traffic noise. Facilities were clean and fridge and kettle were useful amenities. Friendly owner.

One of the ladies loo's didn't flush very well (took AGES to refill), and the showers were ok, but nowhere much to put your stuff without it getting wet.

Wolford Wood is a great 'semi-wild' camping location on the edge of a large sized wood with plenty to explore. The shower and toilet block was good, with an outside washing up area and enough facilities for a nice stay. We especially like being able to have a fire pit and cook over the open fire, it was a nice introduction to 'wild camping' for my 8 yr old.

Great site. Huge field with forest next to it. Long meadow grass made it fun for kids, they also liked the pigs.

Toilet block was ok but would not manage a lot of campers.

A brilliant & friendly campsite - thank you very much for the stay and warm welcome, Marcus & Petra!
- The campsite has a great 'wild' feel to it with free reign on the main meadow to pick and choose your spot with no restriction and plenty of space. You can have a campfire if in a firepit and these can be brought along or hired, plenty of wood to purchase too which can be scanned for and paid by QR and Apple Pay if no-one is around!
- The campsite summary states there are outdoor composting toilet/shower facilities but it looks like there is now a new smart toilet/shower block which is very smart and clean with 'proper' porcelain sinks and toilets and a couple of washing up areas. There's also a fridge/freezer to store food/drinks in.
- Very relaxed feel with friendly and helpful hosts - even karting the visiting kids around in a golf-buggy for their entertainment! We were told there was no real need to rush to check-out as long as it was before dark. Hosts were usually around until dusk for any help needed.
- Good location for walks/exploring and not too far from Moreton to pop in for some essentials.

- Not a 'dislike' per se, but be warned the meadow grass can be quite long and cars aren't permitted in the meadow so you need a wheelbarrow to kart your kit to site... these wheelbarrows can be in high demand at peak arrival and departure times!
- Pricing of logs is slightly high, we spent £18 in total to have a fire going for a couple of evenings so bring your own if you are on a budget.

Beautiful site in a lovely setting. It is very well thought-out for what you need to enjoy your stay: clear instructions, fire pits and firewood, good toilet and washing facilities. We particularly liked that the pitch areas were allowed to grow naturally and that it was dark at night. It felt closer to wild camping than other styles of manicured campsite. The wheelbarrows for taking your stuff to and from the car are a very handy feature!

The environment, the welcome, the toilets and shower facilities.

First of all, 5 stars to Emma for her warm welcome and going the extra mile for us!
Upon arriving as mentioned above Emma was there to greet us and we couldn’t have asked for a better host.

Unfortunately, the same could not be said for the accommodation and the overall safety aspect of the stay. As we were two females staying on our own, when we got back to the site after our day out we saw a man out walking dogs on the field who we weren’t aware of staying so that made us feel a bit nervous and with there being no internal lock on our cabin we did not feel safe.
There were one other group of campers on sight, however we were expecting the someone to be there monitoring the sight, I guess we were just left to it, which is probably the norm for seasoned campers however I think the cabin stays need to be slightly more regulated and ‘hand held’ as they’re probably not used to it, we would have personally felt better knowing that there was someone on site to contact if we needed too, and with an internal lock.
Our beds were also so cold that they were damp, which again seasoned campers would probably be less phased by, however for us this made it feel less cosy and more unsettling.
So all in all, this is a lovely site and setting for seasoned campers, however if you’re looking for more of a ‘glamping’ or weekend away experience, we probably wouldn’t recommend.
However, if some flood lights were fitted around the site, along with some internal locks on the cabin, we would recommend.
