Great location, great hosts, even with the rain, it was a lovely overall experience. Also the food in the pub was lovely after a day on the hills

A little nugget of a site - very close to the river and Cambrian Way, with fire pits and a basic but effective hot shower. Warm welcome from the pub across the road where there is a proper toilet with 24hour access. Fantastic local ale on tap. Ample parking. Trees provided my pitch by the river with a good deal of protection from the storm while the wind was coming north up the valley, enough to have a fire for a few hours while the rain was steady and wind strong. Would definitely come again.

No phone signal on the pitch (EE) but wifi in pub - and no signal is actually a positive right?

Really enjoyed my stay here, the owners were really nice and couldn't be more helpful, they made a massive fuss of my dog which was a plus and the locals did also! Would highly recommend to people who are looking for something with easy access and local amenities, but also looking for an adventure as I heard there's an amazing lake about an hour or so's walk away and also loads of hiking trails. Will be booking again soon if summer actually shows up!

Great location, in a small wood-lined field next to the River Tawe.

Not very welcoming. Couldn't find a cold water tap in the field. Portaloo was for a pee only. To use the loo you had to go over the road 50 yards to the pub garden loo, which was 'only open when the pub was open'. Shower was an outside, open-air hut that was in need of some severe TLC. Things were not helped by fellow campers who had a small yappy dog that barked all the time. They also managed to play loud house music well into the evening. I even manage to pick a day when the pub kitchen was out of order. So after a big day of walking I ended up driving to Sennybridge to get an evening meal. All of this for £15 a night. Seriously bad value when compared to other campsites offering a simple camping experience.

Very welcoming atmosphere with amazing scenery. Andy and his wife are awesome landlords for the pub and campsite would go again any day.

Lovely weekend break. This site was perfect for us, small,rural, friendly site with all basics we needed.
Great base to explore.
Lovely little pub owned by really welcoming friendly people. will be returning.

A great little spot next to the river with shady trees. Awesome access to some of the beautiful hills and walks.

Facilities are basic but all work and the pub is very handy for refreshments. Wifi in the pub is super fast too. No mobile signal at the campsite on EE, but that's actually a bonus as it keeps me from getting distracted. After all, I'm here for the walking and some solitude.

It's all run by some lovely people who are on hand to help.

Great little site for a couple of days away with friends. The pub is just opposite with 24 hour access to a clean toilet. Shower on site is very hot and does the job. Andy who runs the site is really friendly and helpful and offers a warm welcome. Would definitely stay again.
