Good size pitch, helpful wardens, brilliant location so close to the sea, shower/toilet block good. Lots of early morning birdsong and seeing Red Squirrels on site was super.

Need more hooks in the shower cubicles.

The location was excellent and the views breath taking. We loved the village of St Helens with it's bookshop, pub, village store and cafe. Excellent walks. The site was good and we were greeted by informative staff.

We arrived on the Thursday and the showers/ toilets were not cleaned until the Monday. The water in the showers was warm and a good pressure, but they should have been cleaned daily.

From the moment we arrived at Holmsley, we knew we’d chosen the right place. Julie at reception was absolutely fantastic – warm, welcoming, and full of local knowledge that made settling in effortless. She really set the tone for our stay, and throughout the trip every single member of staff we met was excellent: friendly, helpful, and clearly dedicated to keeping the site running smoothly.

The campsite itself exceeded our expectations. The pitches were spacious and well laid out, giving everyone plenty of room to relax. Facilities were spotless, modern, and well maintained, which made the whole experience comfortable and stress-free. We especially loved the peaceful atmosphere of the site – no noise, no hassle, just pure relaxation in a truly beautiful part of the New Forest.

Waking up each morning to the sight of ponies and wildlife wandering past our pitch was magical, and it really added to the feeling that this site is something special. The location is also excellent, with easy access to walking trails, villages, and all that the New Forest has to offer, yet the campsite itself feels quiet and tucked away.

Overall, our stay was everything we had hoped for and more. With staff like Julie leading the way, Holmsley has that extra personal touch that makes it stand out from other campsites. We left feeling completely refreshed and can’t wait to return – highly recommended to anyone looking for a perfect New Forest break.

Weather 😂

Well kept site with good clean facilities , small walk to the sea and a large area close by to walk the dog (ex golf grounds). Off site Cafe 100 mts away. There is a shop on site (Nica local) and sold most basics at reasonable prices.

Sloped pitch which soon became muddy when it started to rain.

Beautiful beach 2 mins away. Staff wonderful. Food really nicely cooked and presented. Shower block clean and tidy. Well stocked shop. Bar and restaurant lovely atmosphere with plenty of tables to sit at. Lovely seating areas to enjoy the views, of which there are plenty.

The fact that we were put in the bottom field that was open to all of the horrendous weather we incurred on the three nights that we stayed. We were due to stay for a week, but on the 4th morning, our awing was ripped away from the van with so much force that it tore the hinge from our tailgate.
We were situated at the bottom of a steep hill, so all of the rain running from the whole site flooded us.
I know that the park can't control the weather, but the wardens told us that the weather wasn't looking great, but didn't move us to one of the many empty pitches further up the hill. I was so upset that we had to come early as this was our first holiday for 2 years, but, we couldn't stay because we didn't have any living quarters.
We ended up throwing the awning away as we left as it was ripped to shreds.
It's such a shame as the park is lovely, but very steep. If you are in a wheelchair or walking with crutches ( as was i) or a walking stick, it maybe worth mentioning this when you book as perhaps they would take this into consideration and put you higher up on the hill .

The chalets are not cleaned properly. I think the cleaning staff could do with cleaning lessons and the carpets god knows when they were last cleaned with carpet cleaner. The men’s toilet door up in the club house hasn’t been for 5 yrs the last time I was here.. looks awful and un hygienic..

Shower blocks could do with a make over . Foods expensive for what it was. Cost of pitch was expensive. Free Wi-Fi was just ok but the price to upgrade was silly

We had a very happy time at Nodes. The facilities were very good and the staff were excellent.

The prices in the little store were a tad expensive.
