Staff were very quick to stop a very large group that were still being very loud after 11pm and had an enormous fire going, despite the sites rules of no fires. Showers always seemed to have plenty of hot water and good pressure. Seemed a great site for children, with a nice playground area for them.
Non mi è piaciuto: While the main toilet block near the entrance is brand new and very clean, the smallest toilet and shower block could definitely have been cleaned more thoroughly. There were urine stains on the outside of the toilet bowls that remained untouched the entire week we were there, as well as stains and smears on the inside of the shower and toilet doors that never got cleaned away. There were also lots of groups both weekends we were there, which we weren't expecting as the site state they do not allow groups. This meant weekends were rather noisy and would better suit people that like a very noisy, busy site. However it was lovely and peaceful Sunday to Thursday, so just avoid weekends if you don't like too much noise.

However we do stock other essentials such as sandwiches, sweet treats, local produce from the butchers, milk, eggs and bread etc. We are glad to hear that you enjoyed your Ullswater way walk and hope you enjoyed the stunning views that the valley has to offer.
