Would have also been nice for members of staff to check in with guests who stayed during the night of Wednesday night an ended up with damaged tents ect an had to pack up and leave before the end of their stays to the severe storm and extreme high winds. No one came around to do courtesy checks ect which would have been nice. When we put our tent in the bin there were many others in there who had also had the same issues which shows just how bad the storm was and how nice a check in with member of staff would have been.
Thank you for your feedback, we do suggest to all holiday makers that you do bring a headtorch/torch as we do like to try to save our night sky from light pollution. This gives our holiday makers the option to enjoy the night sky and peace and quiet of the countryside.
We did have a storm this weekend and unfortunately there was a lot of mess around site which our maintenance team were working very hard to tidy up and make sure that there was nothing dangerous or anything around site that could injure anyone. Our priority on site was to make sure all guests where safe during their stay, and no one got injured during the storm. Our team did drive around site to check on the campers, you are always welcome to flag the team down at any point if you need help or feel any distress during your stay with us.

We do have a verity of things for families to do on site and of site. We have a Bar and games room that is open Tuesday-Sunday hours may vary, a play park, a coffee shop that serves hot drinks and cold drinks throughout the day. We also have our own private marina that customers staying with us on site are welcome to use to launch kayaks, paddleboards, or just go for a swim.
We are only 1 mile up from the lake and are also on the Ullswater way route, so this is a great place to stay for hikers. With little Mell Fell situated behind us you can even walk up to the top and star gaze and take in the amazing view. Great for all the family.

Thank you for your feedback, we are 1 mile up from the lake which is great for hikers and to get out and about. There is a bus service on a weekend which will pick you up from the campsite site and take you down to pooley Bridge or Aira force.
The maintenance team do clean the toilet blocks throughout the day and as it has been a wet busy weekend we do try to make sure that our toilet blocks are maintained to a high standard. We do have signs up to say that the toilet blocks are cleaned my male staff. If the staff are cleaning a certain toilet block, we do have 2 other toilet blocks available on site that you are more than welcome to use. We also have cleaning signs places in the doorway when staff are cleaning, but on the odd occasion customers do tend to move these as they enter the toilet block. We do apologise if this made you feel uncomfortable at any point during your stay with us.
