Thank you for your feedback, through the summer holidays we do have live singers and a disco on a weekend but through the week we like to keep a very mellow vibe with some background music playing. This gives customers the chance to just relax and enjoy the surrounding area. We understand when the bar is not busy the atmosphere may not be at its best, but this is the perfect time to put them phones away and enjoy playing cards, dominoes and some good old chin wag.
But this is certainly something we will consider for the future.

The site itself is well situated to Ullswater lake which is a good starting point for many walks and close enough to Penrith or Glenridding for supplies.
The shop/reception is well stocked for forgotten items or other snacks, food and alcohol.
Didn't use the coffee shop but you should be aware it is drinks only and no hot/cold food - we planned to grab breakfast on the way out for an early walk but had to nip into Glenridding for it. No real hardship.The bar was decent sized and decent prices but there's a kids disco on the Saturday night so not much chance of a quiet drink!
Great weekend and will absolutely stay again.

Thank you for your feedback, we do suggest to all campers to make sure you pack a good head torch/torch as we like to keep the site partially lit on a night so we can enjoy the night sky and help prevent light pollution.
