We arrived on a very cold wet evening the staff were amazing helpful and very friendly.

Lovely site great facilities, food in pub is amazing. The staff were all lovely and made me feel very welcome. My dog was also made to feel welcome and we had a lovely stay

Facilities are good. Pub with good food right next door. Quiet and peaceful.

Door handle broke so I got locked in. Guy came and fixed it right away.

Superb location, beautiful pub and amazing landscape.

Nothing not to like

Loved the campsite, owner was so friendly and helpful. The location was perfect and the facilities pristine! Made winter camping so enjoyable. Would definitely come back!

Couldn’t walk to many other routes other than Tissington trail. Wouldn’t matter if had access to car but as we have a rooftop tent wasn’t as easy to access other routes in peaks!

What a lovely friendly welcome I received. Recent heavy rain meant the grass pitch was quite water logged, and Adam was really helpful in sorting me out on some gravel whilst still linking to the lecky.
There's easy access from the site for some lovely walks. The pub on site serves breakfast if you don't want to cook. It was such a treat having the real fires. They've also converted one room into a sports lounge with excellent coverage of key events.
There are also a couple of other pubs within walking distance in the area.
The new shower block is really modern with hot powerful showers. There are loos there, and also at the front of the pub for after hours.
On the Sunday the weather was lovely, which invited the bikers out zooming along the adjacent A road, but at night I didn't hear anything.
The site is next to a donkey sanctuary too, which is a treat to watch them grazing happily.
