Really goood toilet facilities and shower was great.
I was alone in the campsite but felt safe and supported

Really enjoyed our stay, good facilities even though it was winter months. Lots of hot water for showers and pot washing. Facilities were clean. Staff were very friendly and gave us information on local walks to suit us. Staff sorted a great table in the pub for our group of 7. Certainly will be returning when the weather is better. Had to park on the gravel path to avoid getting bogged in (electric pitch) which was not a problem but make sure your electric cable is about 15m other wise it won’t reach the hook up, in the summer this won’t be a problem because the ground will be dry.

Lovely campsite, with good pitches. I ended up parking on the gravel path to avoid churning-up the grass pitch (the weather was damp) and this was easily accommodated by the host who met me. Great playground, which my four year old would have loved had she been with me. The pub was welcoming and I got to sit near an open fire both evenings, which I was very happy with. Despite being a lone female traveller, no-one was interested in me visiting the pub alone, which was much-appreciated. I had a hot dog one night and just a pudding the other - both were very good.

The facilities on the campsite weren't fully-open due to it being February, but what was open was clean and well-appointed. Hot showers and hot water in the pot-wash.

I didn't get to explore much that was on offer locally due to my short stay, but the landscape was beautiful and the drive through the Peaks to reach the campsite was glorious.

I missed out on a walk on the Tissington Trail, but would definitely stay here again to visit another time.

Great views from the campsite, friendly gentleman, approach me on arrival and had a quick chat, rest of the people that were staying. There were very friendly, nice vibe!

No hardstanding pictures for campervan meant that there was a freefall for people to park on gravel paths, and I was the only one that adhered to my allocated grass pitch which was annoying. Even though I was made aware, drawing the booking that only some of the facilities were open as it was out of season, the toilets and showers that were open were not clean or inviting. This may have been due to the wet weather.

great welcome from the site manager who gave us some good tips for areas to visit, he also walked the site with us to find a spot for our campervans so we would not get stuck as bad weather was predicted . We visited the pub for a few drinks and again everyone was very friendly and welcoming. The weather was pretty bad for us but I imagine this site is great in summer months, there is plenty of access to walks and trails directly from the site, and hot showers when you return , would definitely visit again

The site is extremely clean and well kept. The pitches are spacious and level. The pub itself is very welcoming and the food is great value for money. The location is great only 12 minutes from Buxton. Donkey's from the Donkey Sanctuary in the adjacent field is a bonus for the kids. We liked it so much we’re staying again for a night after recommending it to our friends in March.

The only dislike the the lack of hard standing pitches as the pitches are extremely muddy this time of year. However, staff were extremely accommodating and tried to find the least muddy pitch for each customer.
