Lovely spot with lovely views. Great toilet and shower facilities and the pub onsite serves great food.

Showers do run hot and cold.

Area was very well arranged with lots of space and easy access to pitches. A bit of rain but had no issues with mud flooding. Staff were very helpful and it was great being so close to a lovely pub that served excellent food.

Wonderful location. Very warm welcome from friendly and knowledgeable staff. Bell tent and facilities were excellent. On a great site with the pub. Beautiful pizza and great choice of beers.

Nothing to dislike

A very warm welcome and the site was well kept. The toilets, showers and washing up area were always clean. The fact that the facilities were unisex wasn't a problem whatsoever and we had wondered if it would be, but it was fine. We ate in the pub and had rack of ribs and my friend had chicken and it was amazing and the service was excellent. The pub has a lovely atmosphere we sat in a quaint quiet room with an old fireplace away from the TV by choice. This is a good site for families and there were children in neighbouring tents. There is a bridle path running down the side of the campsite where we were able to walk our dog off the lead as it was quiet and is car free.
There is a donkey Sanctuary next door but check opening times. Bakewell is about a 15 minute drive away. Don't let the unisex facilities put you off.

The views weren't what we hoped for as the surrounding fields are all quite flat but it was still very nice.
The only drawback for us is that we wanted to have a drink on an evening and we were very surprised that everyone seemed to have gone to bed at 10pm and we felt as though we had to whisper not to disturb anyone in neighbouring tents. Maybe adults only would suit us better so we aren't so worried about waking up sleeping children. We were very respectful of this. The only other drawback was that all day Thursday the grass was being cut and the following morning all we could hear was a strimmer. This was quite loud and went on for a long time but I suppose we were just unlucky to have stayed when the grass was being cut.

Lovely location and views. Clean showers and toilets. Friendly hosts.
