We loved this site! It was so quiet and peaceful. The amenities were well cared for and clean, with on-site WiFi. EHU available. Bruce and Sandy are wonderful and so friendly and helpful. There are lovely views around and some nice walks to be had. I would highly recommend this site.

Location and the day I stayed was quiet . Had the place to myself basically. Treated myself to fire pit watching the evening go by.
Had a peaceful sleep. The facilities was really good too.
Good communication too.

We loved our time here and Sandy & Bruce helped us soon as we had any questions or problems.
They even did us a fire pit as soon as we asked about it and it was lovely and made the night perfect.
Definitely be staying again but hopefully next time longer.
Ps. The views there is astonishing

1. Lovely site.

2. Very peaceful and quiet.

3. Bruce and Sandy are lovey and helpful site wardens, cant do enough for you.

4. The showers and toilets were spotless and the water set just at the right temperature for showering.

5. Facilities on the site; washing machine and dryer and books, games, sweets, etc that all rely on an honesty box policy.

6. A nice pub a 5 minute drive away with good honest pub food and fair prices.

7. A spar shop combined with a garage just a short drive away.

8. Seascale town has a Pharmacy, a Co-op, a Chinese takeaway, and a very good kebab shop.

9. The site owner Rachel is also helpful and always ready to lend a hand if needed.

10. You can go for walks directly from the site.

These are NOT CRITICISMS: I have relayed this as feedback to the site owners, but they are something to be aware of if you are booking (especially with a caravan in tow).

1. The Wi-Fi signal was very weak and needed to be reset almost daily to gain a signal for the TV, Phone, Tablet, Etc, this can be affected by the weather but I believe that more bandwidth and or a booster is required.

2. The access road to the site (from turning off of the main road) is very steep in places and also rough and bumpy (this is due a combination of the gradient and the Lake District weather) and of course would cost a lot to repair it, but if you are towing a 4x4 then get a good run up when leaving the site with a caravan attached otherwise you will struggle to make it.

3. We in line with others were instructed to put the caravan onto the hardstanding (nose first) so make sure your motor mover is up to the job otherwise you might struggle to get the caravan up the hard standing and onto the level surface of the pitch.

I would stay here again for access to the Western Lakes and recommend this site based on the above.

I am still feeling the flavour of ParkGate Farm. Beautiful place at beautiful location. Customer service was just excellent. Stay was so peaceful and facilities are just fantastic.
Views around are amazing and it is close to famous places such as Hard Knott Pass.
I will highly recommend this place!

Its all good.

What a perfect place. From the moment we arrived we felt welcomed and supported. Unfortunately we were experiencing some electrical problems with our van and Bruce and Sandy couldn't have been more helpful. The site was immaculate and I can only praise the owners and site managers for their care and attention. It's in a great location, and amazing view and lots of good walks directly from the site. We shall certainly return and we look forward to it!

Sandy and Bruce came round and introduced themselves from the get go, gave an idea of what the weather was going to be like, sorted us with a fire pit and wood and showed us where all the facilities we could use were. Extremely friendly and helpful!
Location is absolutely stunning, wish we had booked another day.

The beautiful, peaceful location. The bathroom facilities are like a spa! The staff are warm and helpful. We enjoyed a fire pit with toasted marshmallows. The weather was wild but it did not matter. Also, there were quality books in the 'book swap', always a telling marker! I've left a brilliant Maggie O'Farrell for someone to enjoy. We will definitely return.
