Clean site nice toilets and showers friendly staff

Toilets were brand new and amazing! Radio system built in, water instantly hot and really well looked after. Pod was cozy and warm. Comfy bed and futon! Perfect for a mid week break for us! The site owners were lovely and helpful!

Would have liked a bin the in pod.

The location was great, only a 5 minute drive into Buxton. This is a lovely family friendly site, with cheery and helpful staff. Probably the nicest (cleanest) toilet/shower block I've ever seen on a campsite.

My only dislike was the steep track to the camping field, and the slope of the main camping field, which I hadn't researched and wasn't prepared for.

The camp site was in very good condition, the staff were friendly, the toilet block is really good. The site wasn't overly busy and the camping pod we stayed in was in very good condition with a nice small fridge, oil heater, bed and futon.

The staff are friendly and the facilities were modern and clean. The field for camping was a decent size and I got to choose where I pitched up rather than having a designated plot

The only thing was that the main field (where I was) is a hill, but it is the Peak District, so……! 🤷🏻‍♀️

Upon arrival, you're met with beautiful scenery and the viaduct. Checking in was easy, and you're given the code to the newly installed shower/toilet block which was lovely, with really hot running water. Showering first thing is a must if you want a clean shower, as unfortunately some guests had no care for the cleaning that the site did regularly, and just left it a mess with no regard for others. The female toilets went from being immaculate first thing to being covered in mud and grass which you'd expect but with the added grimace of toilet roll thrown around, sanitary packaging and kids sticky handprints. This is so not the fault of the campsite, as my husband and son assured us that the men's block was always pristine. Nevertheless, I think it always depends on who is visiting the campsite at the same time as you because the staff were on top of the cleaning as best they could be. The rest of the site was immaculate and well cared for. Staff were friendly and helpful but also left you to it unless you needed them which I liked. There's a children's play park, and it's incredibly dog friendly. It was our first time taking our 5 month old goldendoodle puppy and we had a blast with her. No issues with dog mess or dogs running about freely. All in all, despite the typical British summer weather we had a lovely time camping at Lime Tree holiday park and would certainly recommend it to others.

Naturally being in the peaks it's very hilly and we were unfortunate that we arrived later than most other campers meaning that the flatter spots were all occupied. I'd advise arriving around 2pm to secure the best spot. We arrived around 4:30pm and most of the good spots were taken. This didn't detract from our holiday though, we just had more of an incline in the tent! We also had issues with a partial refund as we booked through pitch up and later reduced our stay by 1 night. If doing this, I'd recommend communicating with the site directly rather than pitch up because pitch up had not made the site aware a refund was required due to the amended duration. Once the site were aware, they did everything to ensure the refund was processed.

Plenty of options and space to pitch a tent. Good location with plenty of amenities. Excellent new toilet block. Was great to be able to bring the dogs.

The farmer in the adjacent field harvested their crops at 1am which was bright and noisy. Otherwise a great stay.
