Very friendly staff and lovely atmosphere.. toilet block and site was all kept very clean and tidy. Would deffinatley return

Lovely clean site, good location.

This is a relatively small site with minimal facilities, a very traditional feel with a clean toilet/shower block, shop for essentials and lovely, helpful staff. The coffee cart (Amanda's) on site was fantastic, selling teas, coffees, ice creams and candy floss at great prices meaning kids and parents can enjoy treats while on site.

The toilet/washroom block was clean and tidy. The wash area needed a larger shelf for your own toiletries away from the wet sink/surface area however most will manage if they just take a toothbrush and toothpaste. Toilet cubicles are mostly clean although some campers are not thoughtful towards others I will leave that to your imagination. There is only one shower block for everyone to use which is not a problem as they individual cubicles, however they cost 20p for 5 minutes of use so take some 20p coins with you if not they are available from the campsite shop which closes at 6pm.
Overall a nice relaxing place to stay.

The not so good part.
Although, there is a standard Sainsbury's nearby in Dawlish, you will need to travel 30 minutes to approximately 50 minutes to the nearest big supermarket or big named fast food outlets if you are that way of mind. Although Dawlish is quaint you will need to travel for bigger more commercially minded seaside towns. You will need to pay for parking in most places if you like the area you visit it can be worth the parking charges. Do not expect a large bustling tourist destination for that you will need to travel which can be from approximately 40 minutes to a couple of Hours away.

We had a fantastic stay at Leadstone. Staff very welcoming and friendly. Site clean. Showers and toilet block well equipped. Great size pitches. Short walk to the beach. We went as two family groups and kids had a great time. Site was safe and child friendly. Definitely will be adding this one to the favourites.

Felt really safe and good to be around families enjoying the simple life. Great facilities and excellent Electic hook up. Good van life pitstop to top up water/supplies and easy walk into Dawlish. Train back in the rain only £2.20!
Shown to pitch by owners with great efficiency and friendliness. Also some bikers camping, lovely to see all sorts of people enjoying the outdoors.

Place, toilets, showers( facilities) were spotless with several times per day cleaned by the hardworking staff.
The two gentlemen, lady at the reception and lady at the kiosks were friendly, welcoming and chilled. They kept the place well maintained.
The site had a sign " full" when we arrived on Saturday and left 10 days later so fairly popular.
Lovely seeing children being children playing bikes, tennis, badminton, playground, football, meeting other children, hearing their laughters....
20p/5 minutes shower is plenty.
Washing machine £5, £3 dryer ( very efficient)
There are everything you need: small corner shop, launderette, farmer shop fees minutes walk, 10-15 minutes walk to the beach and town .
There's WiFi you pay per day or week.
We had two bedrooms( xl) tent and a campervan parked next to it, felt a bit squashed as our plot were in middle of the others, would prefer on the edge but it's not a criticism as we had relaxing, fun times.

Poos on grass and gravels by some dog owners that the staff had to clean up.

The staff were so helpful and friendly they couldn’t do enough for you and always waved and checked to make sure everything was ok as they was passing daily.
The pitches are nice sized.
The toilets and showers were spotlessly clean as was the washing up area.
The play area was great for kids.
Would highly recommend and will definitely be staying again.
It seems a lot of families return annually as it’s such a great place.
The icecream and coffee cart is a great addition to the site and very reasonably priced.

I thought the washing machines were expensive at £5 per small wash. With kids I would have normally done a wash or two.

I know this is being fixed shortly but the WiFi connection wasn’t the best throughout the site and when you pay for it you would expect it to work. They did explain it’s not the best and they are working to resolve.

Both of these things I wouldn’t mark the site down for.

Open spaces.
Very peaceful site.
Walking distance to the train station.

Shower block could if been cleaner.

I don't think they were cleaned for the whole of the weekend I stayed.
