The staff were great but unfortunately we couldn't stay as my husband scraped the caravan down a walled fence, so we had to leave 45 minutes after we got there
There was an Irish family that were so kind and helped us cover the window frames in the rain and the campsite gave us gaffa tape too.
We will return when the van is fixed

Good facilities

The touring pitches are like a dust bowl due to the hard standing. A bit like a car park. Although it clearly states that commercial vehicles and work vehicles are not allowed on site, this is clearly not adhered to, from 6 am onwards travelers and their vehicles continually drove in and out of the site. This went on until nightfall. Children as young as 14 drove large 4 wheel drive vehicles around the site, screeching wheels and creating dust. This is disaster waiting to happen.Rude children (travellers), we didn’t feel our belongings were safe at all. Wi-Fi kept breaking down for 2 weeks.I didn’t want to spend my holiday in a gypsy camp. We left 1 week early. Would we stay there again, not a chance.

We really liked everything, staff where so welcoming supportive friendly did everything to help ☺️ everywhere was clean and modern, the bowling alley was so much more than expected great food drink and really decent bowling lanes, cosy corners to drink chill with friends too, arcades were fun little short staffed but they did the best they could, swimming pools great well organised and plenty of lifeguards on hands to keep everyone safe, both indoor and outdoor pools , outdoor was so lovely and warm super clean, crazy golf and extras like waves surfing and climbing wall, were reasonably priced and kids and dads thoroughly enjoyed it all, the restaurant by entertainment was great for breakfast, kids clubs discos all fantastic, lovely restaurants with kids play area outside was also lovely clean and good service again, the location is 2mins drive to beach or can catch bus so easy and parking for campers and vans as well as cars parking charges is£6 or £12 a day so helpful for us being able to take campervans, so good we booked an extra night, and didn’t want to leave thanks Golden coast leisure park

That you had only 1hr slot for outdoor pool I understand it keeps it fair, but to que in morning for tickets from 8am until reception opens at 9am felt Extreme, then to only be allowed a one hour slot, we only did this once I guess easier and quieter days you can select a couple of hrs maybe!

Also camping showers were not regulating well was too hot for kids and myself really, the button lasted 2seconds before water stopped running so then you have to keep one hand in button, quite hard to wash hair like that 🤣🫣

Great facilities very clean easy to find, great staff and lots of room on the pitch

Pub opening hours which again was kind of what we expected as not many people visit

- not much grass, pitches are gravel and a bit like a car park.
- booking system for outdoor swimming pool is awful.

Golden coast is a lovely site,very friendly and helpful staff,the toilet facilities were always clean and great showers ,fully serviced Motorhome pitches,if you had children plenty of entertainment for them and The Old Mill an on site pub that serves lovely food and still had the Mills old features,it’s nice to go to a site that doesn’t rip you off price wise ,we will definitely be going back,and Woolacombe is very pretty.
