A site with good facilities.

Not easy to get to walking routes unless you have a car, so not suitable for large camper vans where you want to just park up and go walking.

Nice quiet site, clean and tidy, very convenient for the pub on site with good food. Toilets were very clean.

Only two shower's and one toilet. As l am disabled, I found the lack of a chair in the disabled toilet a problem for dressing, also the toilet seat was broken. It could be very dangerous as the seat kept slipping of the pan.

There's certainly plenty to like about the site. It's very pleasant, quite and the pub is excellent, if somewhat expensive (I didn't expect Mcdonalds prices but £16 for a burger is,,,,, a little steep in my eyes, as good as there were). Pitches were good and level and the fact the areas are actually for caravans and camper vans so your car is parked on a hard-standing. (we were camping, so on the grass at the side).All in all a good site. Showers are excellent and last a decent while before having to re-press the button, definitely a plus point.

Now, not really "disliked" but one aspect was not ideal, so I'm filling it in here. Be aware of one point, the comfort pitches aren't very big at all, so if you have a larger tent (ours is an 8-person tunnel tent at just over 7m) you're going to struggle to find space to get your guy ropes down. I ended up having to tie off about 18" of mine to get them within the space. Not a biggy but something I feel is worth mentioning as from the site description you're led to believe there's room when there really isn't for a tent of this size.

One other niggle, there's only one toilet in each set, no urinals in the males, just the one stall, same for the females. We managed ok as we get up early but the queue soon builds.

Don't be put off by the fact I've put these points in the disliked section but they're what I perceived as little niggles on what is otherwise an excellent site.

We had a nice pitch separated from our neighbours by a hedge with views across to the fields on the hillside opposite. The campsite was very tidy and well maintained and having a nice pub on the doorstep was a real bonus (we were given a 10% discount on our food bill as a result of staying on the site). The staff were very welcoming and friendly and check in at the bar was efficient. It's a good location for exploring the southern slopes of Dartmoor and the towns of south Devon.

Daytime road noise, though this did quieten down significantly during the night and didn't disturb our sleep. Phone signal in Devon is patchy and being at the bottom of the valley this site struggled with getting more than 1 bar (Vodafone) of 4G during our stay but the pub has free wifi.

Everything.....the place was very clean and tidy. The pub and restaurant was great, lovely atmosphere, very friendly staff. Great for dogs and we have a big Rhodesian Ridgeback. Food was excellent. Will be going back for sure. Xxx

Not enough toilets or showers

Nice pub spot with ok facilities well looked after pitches.

Only one male toilet and no urinal so had to queue up And white every time. Food in the pub was a bit pricey for what you get. But survive was good.

Bar/restaurant food was really good, staff were nice.

Smell of sewage from toilets which were clean but I think it was from the septic tank behind.

No phone signal or WiFi on campsite except bar area.

Would not cost much to have WiFi added to each pitch.

Over priced compared to other sites especially when no WiFi.

We stayed here for our 10th wedding anniversary and my birthday. The site is lovely and the staff in the pub went above and beyond. My husband had phoned them before we turned up to arrange banner and flowers on table on our arrival. Would definitely stay again. Clean facilities, loved the hedges which made our stay more private
