The warm welcome, clean shower blocks and great pitches.

This is a first-class camp site and it’s very difficult to pick many faults.

I guess it’s out of the way and in the middle of nowhere and to get anywhere it’s important you have a car.

Nearest place is Sidmouth at about 20 minutes with Exmouth, Dawlish Warren and Dawlish being around 40 mins away.

The site itself it clean and well kept with toilets and showers being extremely nice.

It caters mainly for caravans and motor homes with electric hookups for around 10 tents but there is a huge field for non electric hookups.

There’s a small club which is nice and that serves food too but it is small.

I’d say it does cater for small children with a tiny park for them to play on but that’s it.

It’s not the site for children from 10 years old I’d say. There’s not much to entertain them but there is a lively nature walk.

All-in-all I high recommend it.

Not a great deal to be honest.

A couple of the locks in the toilets and and showers in both mens and womens didn’t work correctly with two not locking at all so they need fixing.

The only other thing I’d say is that each pitch on the electrical hookup section could do with a wooden table and benches like one of the pitches had. That would be useful.

Service at a high level.
Bathrooms clean and tidy. I recommend for a nice rest.
A lot of land for long of walking with family and dog.

Receptionist are always welcoming and friendly, nothing is ever a problem, if I need to arrive early it’s never an issue, they also know which area of the site I like to be in unless Iv requested different. Just a genuinely quiet peaceful campsite to spend a few nights on, facilities are pleasant and easy to find. Pitches are also mostly level so more than easy to hitch up, have kept coming back for over a year and will continue to do so!

Signal isn’t ideal here i normally only get 1 bar of signal so makes it hard to communicate with family as im a young solo traveller, paid for their WiFi but didn’t reach to my pitch so constantly dropped in and out and was a waste of money really.

The showers were amazing, underfloor heating and you could control the temperature of the water, also very clean.
You could also visit the sister site 15 mins away which had amazing facilities for the kids.

The little roads leading through the site were gravel and uneven so not good for your car suspension, if these were tarmac then a perfect site with friendly staff and lovely food in the restaurant
