High quality shower block and facilities. Well stocked shop. Nice bar/restaurant. Very large camping area. Great location.

We recently stayed at Castle Brake Holiday Park, enticed by its high ratings and convenient location. While the reception staff were welcoming, our experience took a nosedive during our visit to the Castle Inn, the onsite restaurant.
Firstly, despite calling ahead and being told that reservations were unnecessary, we were asked to move tables upon arrival. This was particularly inconvenient as we had our two-year-old granddaughter with us, seated in a high chair. The alternative table offered was near the entrance, posing a safety risk due to constant foot traffic.
The disappointment continued when we ordered a child's meal for £7.00, expecting FISH GOUJONS, only to receive 3 Fish Fingers. Considering the premium we paid to stay at this site, this felt like poor value for money.
However, the most disheartening part of our experience was the unprofessional behaviour of a staff member named Cathy. Her loud and tactless remarks about "clearing our mess" were not only embarrassing but also completely uncalled for.
We were promised a follow-up from the campsite manager, Will, to address these issues. Not only did it take an inordinate amount of time for them to respond, but when they did, it was with a generic email that failed to address our specific concerns.
Given the lack of professionalism, accountability, and the high costs associated with staying here, we cannot recommend Castle Brake Holiday Park. We have no plans to return and hope that potential guests think twice before booking.

Greeted to such a lovely warm welcome. Everything was spotless, super clean.
Was made aware of sister site on arrival, so headed over there for children’s entertainment. All round 5 stars!!! Will definitely be back :)

The staff were incredibly welcoming and the facilities were warm and clean.
You could use the pool and facilities at the sister site nearby.

The playground was hidden behind a bush right next to the road. Cars were coming down the hill a little too fast given they couldn't see children playing. A sign would suffice to let drivers know the playground is there but hidden.
Wifi was awful despite paying extra for it—limited signal and worse reception than 4G so I don't recommend buying that.

Lovely shop onsite, restaurant, park and walks

The constant smell of sewage and how dirty the toilet and shower block was. Not sure if it was a busy weekend for the staff but couldn’t even shower.
