The atmosphere, very clean, lovely staff

The grounds were well looked after with mature trees all round. Good entertainment options.

The showers were a joke. Not one of them worked properly. They either did not work at all or they sprayed the water in a ferocious jet across the cubicle getting everything wet that you don’t want to get wet. Impossible to use.

Very quiet site

Not really a dislike but a lot of building work going on to improve the site

The Exit

1. No organisation
2. Had a pitch which we left a utility tent on only to go out in van and return to find someone in our pitch (see point 1).
3. Free for all people just seen to do what they want
4. No fault of site to be fair but clumps of clay everywhere when heavy rain this is horrendous consider wellingtons if going.
5. Sanitary bins not emptied in ladies

Large space for motorhome and awning. Swimming pool warm (although a non refundable charge of 50p per locker is a bit steep). Walking around the lakes.
The open air theatre will be nice in good weather when open for use. A lot of money is being spent so will have to go back next year with grandkids. A pub with carvery 5 minutes walk from site entrance, also a Chinese, Greggs, chip shop. Clean toilet/shower block but make sure you use it just after cleaning.

Travellers allowed on site, which reception staff refused to believe when I mentioned it. Venue staff confirmed there had been some problems (did not affect us). As said the charge for the swimming lockers. Very poor tv signal. Dog owners walking their beloved pets across the camping field, where tents will be pitched. One even walked there to groom the german shepherd, not pleasant for tents with small children. Dogs even allowed to sit on the seats and table tops just outside the Venue. Not site fault but had to tip toe through the geese droppings, take a pair of wellies.

Swimming pool and outdoor cinema

My teenage son was assaulted by a group of men mid day, security did absolutely nothing. The reception was closed so there was no way to report it, it took 3 hours of walking around finding staff members and other security staff that would listen or do anything before they checked cctv and escorted the group out. During this time my son was assaulted for a second time! We had to leave for our safety, we booked to stay for my daughter’s 8th birthday weekend. It was awful she was absolutely distraught. The park attracts unsavoury characters and security at the park does nothing to insure the safety of families.

The Venue, big screen for TV. Toilets and showers were very clean and tidy.
