Kedvelték This site was overall absolutely lovely. We came for just under a week in our caravan and were able to have family book as well and pitch up very close to us in their tent. We had lots of space for the kids to play and the views were spectacular. The weather was great but worth noting that as you're high up with excellent views, that also comes with very windy weather! Other reviews have mentioned a lot of noise from farm animals, this site is surrounded by working farm land, so you do get a bit of noise from livestock, but we quite liked that, and loved being visited by 3 very friendly cats! The facilities here, as noted by other campers, are fairly basic, which was fine when using a combination of caravan and site facilities, but we would have struggled a bit for any length of time in just a tent. Will absolutely be back to this site, thanks for a lovely stay.

Nem kedvelték These things wouldn't stop us from coming back, but compared to a number of other sites we've visited over the last couple of years, the facilities at this one don't quite live up to the tariff. We stayed for 6 nights and by our the 3rd night (at a weekend in summer holidays, the site was busy) the toilet block had run out of toilet roll so we took our own down, and there was no hand wash from the start. (We did have a message from the owner at the start of our stay, so I'm sure I could have messaged them about this, but to be honest it didn't really occur to me until the end of our trip.) Also we didn't need to use the washing up facilities much as we used our caravan, and while we stayed we had lovely weather, but these were not under cover so would have been a bit miserable to use in the rain. Overall, for the price I think the wash block could do with a little bit of TLC (or at least checking by the site owner more regularly in busier times).

Kedvelték Lovely site - good sized pitches, good 5G signal (not essential but helpful for planning days out on an evening!) clean portaloos. Is on a hillside and quite exposed so a bit on the windy side, but visited in very warm weather so was actually a relief. Didn't see the owners in the week we stayed other than seeing people generally working on the farm, but had communication via text beforehand, so all good. A great base to explore Alnwick (5min away) and surrounding area, would absolutely return.

Kedvelték Lovely quiet site, very friendly owner, came to speak to us within half an hour of getting set up to give us an information sheet of the area and remind us about using eco toilet chemicals (in the info on pitchup but easy to miss). Fresh eggs on sale on the drive were lovely. A 15m or so drive to Bakewell and the Monsal Trail, we found this a really good base for a 5 day trip.
