Nem kedvelték Pitches tiny but fairly flat. Overrrun with ants Mini tennis courts, tiny playground and pool all tired. Toilets ok but not enough of them No shop onsite Shops and food places nearby were either shut or awful It was fine for a one night stop off. The permanent caravans looked ok. But there were a million young children so the toilets were mostly full. Just wasn’t for us but it wasn’t the worst we’ve been to

Kedvelték Ellin (I’ve probably spelled that wrong!) is an absolute angel! I don’t know when she finds time to sleep but nothing is too much trouble for her and she always has a smile on her face. She even gave my son a bag of sweets when she found out it was his 13th birthday Warm welcome on arrival and a run through of the rules (dogs on leads, designated quiet time) Pitch was huge and well marked. It was very flat and the ground was fine (couple of rocks as you’d expect but we take an array of pegs so no issue) WiFi incredible, best I’ve had on any site. With 2 teens and a 10 year old it was a huge bonus of an evening. Plus planning trips was easier with the WiFi. Toilets are absolutely spotless. The showers are too. Never had to wait for either. Spotless Washing up room with 4 sinks and draining boards. Loads of water points Washing machines available Tonnes of bins Alpacas a very cute bonus Wonderful on site shop which is really fairly priced. So often they are massively overpriced. Lovely river just through one of the fields Short drive to Bala for the lake and the Co-op for essentials. Quiet time from 10:30pm to 7am was amazing. Gave us enough time to chill and recover from our walks without being disturbed by loud music or kids still playing and making noises. No freezer block facilities but when I mentioned this Ellin didn’t hesitate to freeze them for me. And absolute gem of a site.

Nem kedvelték Tiny, tiny, tiny little gripes The showers (spotless) had no shelves and only 2 hooks so keeping your clean stuff dry and dirty stuff out of puddles was a bit of a pain. The kids would have liked the play area to be more equipped but it was centrally located (so great for keeping an eye on them) and there is TONNES of space on the middle of the field for games so I don’t see it as a big problem.

Kedvelték There was a very warm welcome on arrival. We were a little early but Julie showed us straight to our pitch and was absolutely lovely. Pitch was HUGE and flat and once we’d pitched our tent we drove to the car park. I thought I’d hate not having the car by the pitch but it was fabulous having so much space (especially with three children!) They set off to explore and found a nice little playground (great for under 10s ish I’d say) and a mound covered in grass which held mystical appeal to the children of all ages (from 2 to older teens!). I’d have tried it out to see why they all loved it but my teenager may have killed me! They were really impressed with the honesty shop which had fresh cakes, camping essentials like firelighters, eggs and chocolate and cold cans of pop which set them up for the WiFi room (with some giant connect 4 and jenga) My interest was piqued by the more mundane (but exciting to me!) fridge and large freezer which are alongside a toaster, kettle and microwave. Absolute luxury and a great little bonus. The washing up stations and toilets are in this same building and everything is spotless. They were cleaned throughout the day and even my super picky mother approved (then decided to buy a sleeping bag and camp with us rather than go to a nice B&B as planned!) It’s a very short walk to the beautiful river where we dangled our feet and watched the sunset on a few of our nights. Robert was so genuinely kind, interested and warm. Both he and Julie keep a close eye on things which makes for a lovely, chilled experience. The sound of children having fun and families laughing carried across the site and wasn’t ruined by loud music. The grass is meticulously maintained and everything feels so well cared for. A chain on one of the swings came loose and by the next day the full chains on both swings had been replaced. There are lots of pubs within walking distance. I don’t drink so we didn’t go but my mums husband approved! I couldn’t recommend this place enough and I already want to go back.

Nem kedvelték If I was being reaaaaaaaaaally picky… Slightly annoying not being able to reach the keypad for the entrance barrier from the car Nowhere to brush your teeth in private, only the handwashing sinks in the toilet (although there is one family bathroom with shower, toilet and sink which is lockable) But that’s it. We loved it!

Kedvelték Really clean Really quiet after 10 which was fab as we have 3 under 5 Well stocked shop Phone charging points (lockers) Two big freezers for ice blocks Laundry facilities Microwaves available Games room for rainy days Loads of water points Tonnes of (spotless) toilets. Great spaces for kids to play Lovely little park Dogs all on leads Beer tent at weekends

Nem kedvelték Showers only on 10 second timer which made showering awkward, particularly with children Family room wasn't on timer but was a huge wet room so made it awkward with more than one child - how to dress kids in a wet room?! No baby washing facilities (eh large sink for bathing) Pitch on a gradient (although we had rain so this was probably a blessing!) Shop doesn't open 'till late (9am?) by which time we'd already had breakfast etc Only one hair dryer per block and they were really weak. Despite these few niggles though we will absolutely be back. The site was pristine. We met lovely people and made amazing memories. It's really well situated. We loved it.
