The toilets needed to be cleaned more frequently (some campers can be disgustingly filthy when they don’t have to clean up the mess).more could be done for places to visit or maybe having local food trucks come on for trade. I’m sure that business would be booming.Could do with some sort or activities like a late night market with different food trucks different traders / small independent businesses arts and crafts.

Nem kedvelték: Unfortunately our stay this time wasn’t the greatest. Several massive groups had taken up large parts of various fields to camp together and were shouting and noisy and playing music with huge stereo set ups and disco lights until the early hours of the first night.
One big group arrived after we did and camped really close to us in one of the bottom fields despite there being literally acres of other space they could have chosen, so we ended up having to move. Then another big group turned up in the field behind (the ones with the disco lights) and we just didn’t want the hassle of moving again so we were sandwiched between two loud groups, both of which were noisy until 2/3 am.
Unfortunately it is well publicised that the last patrol of the site is at 10pm so noise dips at this point and then once the patrol has happened it goes straight back up. Mobile phone signal is non existent in the lower fields so in order to call and complain you’d have to drive the couple of miles back up to the top of the site, not really practical or convenient.
Some other groups had pitched up right next to and across the river access points, so it was difficult to get down to the river as you couldn’t cross their encampment (despite it being a publicly accessible footpath to anyone and not just residents) which is a real pain and ruins one of the main selling points of this site.Points to consider:
Later patrols for noise and anti social behaviourNot allowing people to pitch right next to and block the public river access points.
I am sorry you did not enjoy your stay this time due to inconsiderate campers.
The signal in the back fields unfortunately varies depending upon who you are with, EE appears to be the best and the signal from all of the fields are good.
As these occasions are rare it would not justify an increase in pitch fees to pay for 2 security guards every Friday and Saturday.
We are in the process of putting up posts and signs like the ones on the road between Americas and Medway which has prevented the river path being blocked.

As you were on an electric pitch you had the water point, toilets and showers within a few feet of your tent, this is the only area we can get an electric supply and services to, however the fields and river are virtually on your doorstep.
We do not have a swimming pool and do not advertise as having one when looking to book.
We are in the process of getting more 5MPH signs put out, even being given a print out when checking in of the campsite rules including the speed limit it appears not everyone wants to adhere to these rules.

Not really the the owners fault but people were driving and racing like maniacs down the fields.
Thank you for choosing to stay with us on Saturday, the busiest day so far with lots of last minute bookings possibly due to the lovely weather.
The river pitches are a 5 to 15 minute walk to the facilities and other fields even further, however we do have 2 fields very close to them. Our non-electric guests choose where to stay after checking-in and given a map along with our site rules.
It is very inconsiderate of any campers to drive more than the stated 5MPH , it would appear we need to put more speed limit signs out.
When the family farm and cafe was open we could sell perishable items including bread, bacon, eggs, milk etc. as they could be taken to the cafe to be used before the sell by date, we did try to sell for a few months after it closed but most of the stock had to be thrown away. We are selling toys at very reasonable prices and a few other basic necessities.

Thank you for your loyalty in choosing to stay with us, this was an extremely busy weekend, the only time I have known it this busy is August Bank Holiday.
The toilets are spotlessly cleaned three times per day and stocked with toilet rolls and soap, we do ask guests to be respectful and tidy up after themselves.

We do have a coded lock on the showers and toilets as there are public footpaths through the site from and to the river, which also prevents any additional facilities such as a kitchen.

As there is limited space in the office/shop the only camping essentials we stock are pegs, mallets, matches and fire lighters. We do have other basics but no perishables, which we have tried to sell but had so much wastage when they became out of date.
There is a table which gets stocked periodically with leaflets of places to visit and take-away menus on the left as you enter the office any other information I am happy to google for guests.
The toilets and showers are cleaned regularly with 3 times on a weekend, we do ask guests to tidy up after themselves as much as possible.
We do not advertise as having any activities/late night market/food trucks from different traders or arts and crafts.
For guests wanting the above they will need to find an alternative site. We do have a pizza van on occasional weekends.
