Quiet and friendly site. Facilities might be old but it was all clean, well maintained and everything worked fine. Access to the Park holidays facilities is a bonus.

It would be good to provide better directions to the site as it is hard to find with satnav taking you to Park Holidays at Carlton Meres.

Absolutely wonderful actual peace and quiet on site as described. Plenty of walks nearby. Facilities spotless. Will be a regular visitor from now on. The staff were wonderful. Well stocked fishing lakes a short walk. Suffolk loved it!

The location, the ability to use the park holidays facilities next door, excellent country walks and dog walks. Staff friendly & helpful.

The cockerel/rooster on the site crowing from 3:15 am through to past 7am every morning, if you are a light sleeper like me do not stay at this site.
The shower and toilet facilities were very basic and did not ike the unisex shower set up.
If you are next to the entrance road on pitches 1 to 3 you will also hear the park holidays cleaning team racing up and down to and fro qll day long in their cleaning golf buggies.

would have liked to have been able to choose our pitch ourselves rather than being allocated especially as so many pitches were available.

Lovely small site, peaceful, good pitches. Facilities clean and tidy. Dog friendly. I understand the site has been purchased by the park next door who plan to put statics on it, so if you want to go better go soon.

Small children on the caravan part, not sure how that works on an adult only site. Road to site is really bumpy. Check in was a bit hap hazard, but this would not put us off staying again.

This was our 2nd visit, and we love the quietness of this adults only site and the easy access from the A12. There are only about 15 caravan pitches on this well maintained site, but with a small adjoining tent field and a few Motorhome pitches at the side. Toilets are in a totally separate building to the unisex showers and sinks ( i like this idea for hygiene purposes ) and water, waste and Elsan point are all very close by. The site is now owned by 'Park Holidays' who own the very large modern static site next door that has a short walkway connecting to their clubhouse, swimming pool, shop etc, but even though the static site is a family one, we never heard ANY noise whatsoever from this site during our 4 night stay.

Nice campsite and pitch. Plenty of room between each pitch. Toilets and showers were clean.
It was good that you can use the caravan park things as well.

Check in was confusing, expected to meet someone at reception but was closed and no answer on the number but someone else staying on the site helped us find our pitch.

Nice quiet site, set in lovely countryside, but with good facilities and an associated Holiday Park next door with Fishing Lakes and a Clubhouse etc. if you want to take advantage of that. The pitches were a decent size (Electric Tent) with plenty of space to park the car next to the tent. Aswell as the Toilets & Showers, there was also a Kitchen area with fridge/freezer and microwave you could use. It was a shame this isn't actually advertised on the website as we'd have brought our freezer blocks had we known. Although the Toilets & Showers are dated, they seemed very well maintained and were clean. In fact we never saw anyone else over there the whole time. It's in a great location, near to various Coastal Towns, lovely countryside walks, Tidal Estuaries etc., and Saxmundham is only 5 mins away by car.

Not a dislike as such, but the check-in process was a bit haphazard. We drove in, and the instructions say to go to the Reception Area, which would be open from 12:00 until 17:00. We arrived at 13:00, but the Reception was shut. It has a sign saying "Ring this bell" but there is no bell. We tried the phone number on the booking and got no reply. We tried the number on the Reception and got no reply. We finally found a piece of paper pinned to a barn that had our names on it and mentioned Pitch 17, so we were just about to there when someone turned up and confirmed this is where we should go. Whether he'd been alerted by our calls or just happened to be passing we didn't find out. He did say that someone would be onsite after 17:00, but surely it would make sense for someone to be there during the check-in hours. I've seen similar comments by others campers so it wasn't a one-off and should be sorted out, but other than that it was great.
