Springfield’s is an exceptional campsite experience!!
Paul and his wife make the site feel like a home from home with their daily walk abouts to check in with campers, chats and ideas of things to do in the area. They were both incredibly helpful and welcoming during our stay and went above and beyond to make our stay brilliant.
The showers are hot and great, there is a fab kitchen hut with a kettle which is very helpful!
We were there for pizza night and the kids said it was the best pizza ever!
The hanging baskets are beautiful!!
The pitches are big, level, and all only a short walk to facilities.
We stayed there to visit Alton Towers and the campsite was the perfect place to unwind after a busy day.
Less than a 10 minute drive to supermarkets and fish and chip shops do location was great for that too.
Just an absolutely brilliant site!!

We loved the large pitches with the overgrown borders to give you privacy from the other pitches. As a family who camp with alot of stuff, there was plenty of space for the tent, gazebo and 2 cars.
Firepits provided by the site are great with bricks to protect the grass.
Play area and ball area is great for the kids and the added protection of the closed gates all the time made us feel secure letting our eldest roam a little looking for wildlife etc.
Very accommodating at putting family pitches near each other that we requested at booking.
Toilet and shower blocks were really clean and by far some of the best we have had while camping. There was somewhere to put your towel and clothes without them getting wet - something we have struggled with at other sites.
Lighting at night was great too. I loved the sensor lights that came on as you walked and off again pretty quickly to not disturb other campers too much.
Very much added to your return to list!

Only dislike is the road outside - some cars came racing down it at night even though it was a country lane. But the owners can't really do anything about people not obeying the speed limit!

Excellent small family site. Really well maintained. Owners were great. The children were absolutely in their element and could run wild safely.

Toilets & shower cubicles very clean, lovely little area with washing up facilities, kettle, microwave fridge/freezer.

Road next to campsite was quite a fast noisy road but not enough to disrupt sleep.

We loved the vibe at Springfields and the Wardens made us feel extremely welcome. The site is quirky which we loved and well maintained.

Absolutely loved having a tap to each plot! The sites was beautifully maintained and the views were lovely, green as far as the eye could see! The site was spotless and only had to wait once for a shower the whole week we were there. Lovely wild flowers dividing up the pitches made it really pretty and you also had a generous space for each plot.

Lack of recycling facilities onsite (but it did not seem to be a priority even at the supermarkets you could only recycle bottles).
