Nice location and great for what we wanted to do in the Brecons, including Pen Y Fan and The Four Waterfalls Walk. The camp site was quiet and few guests were there when we stayed. Little touches such as a communal freezer, fridge and microwave are great and very useful for us as our own fridge decided to play up during our stay. This is located on a working farm so there are inevitably a few farm smells and noises now and then; this didn’t bother us or impact our stay. We spent little time during the day here as we were so busy with things in the local area. So much so we never actually met the owners.

I am however slightly perplexed by the reviews of others saying how clean the facilities are. They were not. Showers were warm and good pressure but the shower rooms were rough around the edges, grubby and need some attention. The portable toilets smelt like festival toilets. The two main toilets were better but I still wanted to get in and out as quickly as possible. We have stayed at many campsites in our campervan during 2023 and this campsite is nowhere near as good as any of the others when it comes to the standard and cleanliness of facilities. Perhaps we’ve been spoilt previously or perhaps my expectations are too high?

Lovely, quiet, rural, working farm campsite.
If you're looking for shops, pubs, restaurants etc. within walking distance then that's fine but you might want a taxi back. It's a 1.7 mile flat, quiet road walk into Brecon town which is lovely for shopping, eating and drinking. Taxi back was only £5 with big Mike's. Brilliant.
It is also a great start for many circular walks through woods, the river and canal.
We also walked from the campsite in the opposite direction to Pen y fan start point (2.5 miles) we are aged 60+ , didn't quite make it to the top but within spitting distance!!!! (Knees complained).
Many other walks in all directions, get the OL12 ordnance survey map.
The site offered reasonably level pitches, goats, donkeys , cows and sheep to cuddle ( maybe not the cows) !!!
Our pitch was right next to the river (it runs through the back of the site)
Lots of bathing (not for me though)! Opportunities for children and doggies.
The site is very doggie friendly.
Toilets X 4. Showers X 2 and cleaned regularly. Not a job I would like as some people are just unbelievably disgusting!!!!!!!!

My only recommendation is that the owners invest in a proper large toilet and shower block with loads of room, extraction/ventilation etc.

Grey and black water points fine with taps and plenty of drinking water taps, washing up facilities, fridge and freezer.
I absolutely love this place and will definitely be returning.

The atmosphere was lovely, the toilets and showers were cleaned regularly, the kitchen area was adequate with good washing up area and a good fridge and freezer. The animals were a great bonus. There's a lovely stream nearby and you can dip in that on a hot day. The camping field was clean and tidy, with lots of flat areas and tables to use.

We loved this campsite on a working farm, close to Brecon, with the river running through it. The family who run it were friendly and helpful, checking everyone was ok morning and evening. We could choose where we camped from two fields, which were grassy and spacious.
Campers are welcome to visit the farm animals, goats, cows and donkeys, and there was a gorgeous baby donkey.
Most of the river bordering the site is shallow enough for paddling and splashing around in but we found a deeper pool to take a refreshing dip.
There was a large group of families on our field but it was very peaceful at night.
There was plenty of hot water for showers and washing up.

Rustic but beautiful campsite, set in a working farm in the most stunning location within the Brecon Beacons. The campsite itself has all you need, clean toilets and showers with plenty of hot water. You'll read reviews about the number of toilets, showers, etc but during our stay we didn't queue once so there were no issues. There's washing up facilities and even a fridge/freezer and emergency plug socket if you need it. If you need it, there's good wifi across the campsite too. The donkeys, cows and goats are a delightful addition to the camping experience too!
We received a warm welcome, and whilst the owners were always on hand, and checked in on us daily if required we were left to enjoy our stay otherwise. There were some suggestions for walks from the farm/campsite which we took advantage of, and was the reason we stayed here - two days of walking, wild swimming, and generally getting off grid in epic countryside, couldn't have been better (it certainly helped that we timed our visit perfectly for the recent end of summer hot weather!). There is a river/stream running through the farm with pools to dip and waterfalls nearby, and Pen-y-fan, etc within hiking distance for the more adventurous.
Loads to do and visit in the area if you're driving/cycling so would highly recommend.

Only issue I could possibly say (and this has nothing to do with the owners or their lovely campsite and facilities), the main road is a mecca for motorbikes and if the weather is half decent, there will be some road noise, but it certainly did not ruin a wonderful stay, and you are far enough away from the road for it not to be a safety issue for children, etc.

Field for tent camping was spacious, clean toilets, decent location for exploring the area, 15 mins from pen y fan. Staff were helpful

We absolutely loved our stay here. 6 nights but could've stayed longer had we not have needed to get back to school and work. The hosts were so friendly and welcoming. Our children loved being able to go and visit the animals whenever they liked. They loved the donkeys, especially the week old foal. Multiple daily visits to the cows with their calves, goats and sheep. Only being 2 showers never bothered us, only once out of the 6 nights did one of us have to queue. The facilities were kept as clean as can be on a working farm, and could be better if guests cleaned up after themselves! Not a reflection on the site, only it's guests. Fantastic walk to a nearby waterfall only 20 minutes walk with young children. Beautiful river to paddle or swim in running through. Particularly loved listening to the water flowing day and night. We arrived early and was able to go and pick our pitch straight away, choosing a lovely large corner plot. Picnic bench on our pitch which was lovely, and fire pit provided with the ability to purchase wood from site for a reasonable price. Quiet site which is safe for children to play and explore freely. Excellent WiFi signal too which was fabulous on an evening to watch a film while listening to the river.
No laundrette facilities but this didn't bother us as owners directed us to a petrol station 15 mins up the road, which has outdoor machines which were great, with a lovely cafe to wait in.
We will definitely visit again.

No dislikes. More showers would be beneficial in busy periods but I see from other reviews it's already being looked into.

Lovely camp site we've stayed at a fee times. My 9 year old loves the animals and I'd always excited to go. Super friendly owners, great location close to the mountains for hiking with a river not 50 away for summer dips. Great place.

Only two showers so when busy can have to queue, but as long as you are aware it’s not a problem.
