Friendly arrival :) despite only booking the hour before owners were fab & my youngest was happy to start his adventure with a fab ice lolly.
We looked at pitches in the woods but decided our tent would be better in the wild meadow (and we were being wimps 🤣) - lots of options though which was fab. We pitched up at the bottom of the lake right where the geese like to poop 🤣 so spent some time on poop patrol before pitching up tent. Great big field for kids to play football and no light pollution when I woke up in the nights for special views of the starry night.
Toilets were sheds but wow so clean and way better than the porta loos you sometimes get, as spacious and lights which auto turn on/off. We used the electric shower after a swim in the lake and it was clean and nice to warm up.
Will definitely be back as the eldest is desperate to fish and think we’ll bring our anxious dog as she should be fine with lots of space and fab walks in the woods :)N'a pas aimé : It was perfect for what we wanted - with lots of space and friendly owners. Peaceful and very beautiful.
