It was close to all those lovely Cotswold villages and there were some nice dog walks right on the doorstep. Wonderful night skies with lots of shooting stars & very quiet for sleeping. We particularly liked the cute little bar and cafe and the fact you could have a firepit with facilities to dump the ashes. We definitely highly recommend this site and will definitely be back.

Site rules and booking confirmation does state we only sell logs between a certain time frame. This is to free up the warden to maintain and clean the site throughout the day. Usually we do have a massive office/reception which has all our guidance written on it , a walkie talkie and phone numbers for the warden for check in. As you could probably see the office /reception hasn’t arrived yet. We opened in March and there’s been a delay in its arrival. I can assure you that if you were to give us another try , with the office in place and all the information we have on its outside there would be no confusion with checking in, gaining access to the shop, purchasing logs or any other pertinent site information. We do have site maps and notice boards around the park, the site map would have shown you that opposite the main shower block is another shower /toilet block and at the top of the campsite is another still. Again this information is usually on the outside of our reception which is due to be delivered soon.
Nice site, easy arrival. Clean facilities.

We’ve recently been in contact with the local walking group of Charlbury who are getting a map set up which shows all the walking trails from the campsite. I’ve been informed that we actually three which come direct from the campsite and a further three a short five minute walk away. We’re also getting QR codes made up which you can scan which give you a detailed breakdown and explanation of all the potential walks.
As warden I’ve spent this last week familiarising myself with all the walks available. There are some amazing ones.
