Quiet. Pitch small but level.

Intermittent hot water access in showers and washing up bay.
No access for walking our dog from site. Nearest dog walk across and down the road .
Despite the site being 3/4 empty , disabled member of family not allowed to use nearest toilet. Refused by manager. Resulting in embarrassment and a long walk to the one designated to our pitch.

The atmosphere , the lovely staff , the cauldron cafe ! Just loved it all x

Lovely area, bus links to other towns/villages. On site witches and wizards themed cafe/ bar (lovelyfood). On site shop and toilet and shower facilities. Art gallery and massage/ beauty treatments available to book. 10min drive to Diddly squat farm.

When we arrived we were told we were not on booking list. Was made to feel like the guy checking us in was a bit put out we had used the booking site pitch up. 2 of the Mens urinals were out of use and there was no toilet roll in the ladies toilets for 2 of the days we stayed. Electric points are far away on some pitches our 25 meter cable only just reached.

Super gut gelegen um die Cotswolds zu erkunden, die Plätze sind ausreichend groß und ordentlich 😊
Die Sanitären Anlagen waren auch okey

Das Waschbecken zum Geschirr spülen war klein und einfach sehr ungünstig um darin abzuwaschen, ansonsten war wirklich alles super hier 😊

Location and clean facilities. The site didn't feel too big because there was a variety of fields for different types of users. There was always someone available to get help when needed.

Beware grass pitches at the end of the paddock! We went in late September and they lost the sun at around 4pm and were the last locations to get the sun in the morning. It happened to be blowing a northerly wind over 3 days and it was bitter! Not the campsite's fault but go prepared. You can light firepits available from the site but logs are only for sake between 6pm and 7pm.

A quirky, slightly hippy, fabulous camp site. Not your totally twee set up ie. slightly more basic but well-kept and clean and the people were very friendly and laid back. The onsite bar/Cauldron cafe is rather magical as an outside-in fairy lit venue with a good range of spirits, wines and bottled beers and with live music on Saturday night. We heard @dekandevelyn in this fabulous informal setting. By day, coffee/tea and light snacks/breakfast baps.

Public footpath across fields to Charlbury with the Bull, the Bell and various other establishments including a fab Community Cafe (but a short stretch on the road, beware of the speed of traffic!).

Spelsbury public footpath felt like a concerted effort on the part of landowners to try to stop walkers which is not good! - barbed wire both sides high up (hand and elbow height for humans!), electric fences either side of the stiles, a 'bull in field' warning and another warning and photo of a big dog where the path goes via a house but the 'permissive path' the owners offer as an alternative was not kept clear enough for walkers to take instead! Footpath walkers and council may want to look in to these factors!

Small art/sculpture studio onsite and a wooden instrument maker who was very, very skilled and happy to share his extensive knowledge - made-to-measure guitars, cellos, double-bases, etc - accoustic and electric.

Not a dislike as such but a bit awkward in the showers having no little seat to perch on to dry feet as we get a bit older :D

Stie was quiet even though it was busy.
