The static electricity from these effected most metal surfaces in our tent, not enough to shock us but enough that they all felt odd to touch and it set us both on edge knowing there was some electrical charge being conducted. We wouldn't want to stay again due to this sadly.

We didn't use the electric hook up as we are self sufficient. We also didn't use the WIFI. We were in bay 6 right next to the pond. The site is so peaceful with plenty ducks to keep you entertained and if you are lucky the cows come to the gate for a scratch. We had food in the Stepping Stones Restaurant and had the rump steak......it was so good. The bar staff were lovely and very helpful. We sat in the conservatory for the meal and the views were beautiful. We spent one of the days fishing ( hubby's past time ) £6 per day to fish. The pond is well stocked and we got a few big ones. The site itself is clean, tidy and very quiet. We have booked again to come in Sept for a couple of nights.

N'a pas aimé : The train line /motorway noise was quite loud at night, we did get alot of disturbed sleep, also the electric pilelon above you could hear too, don't notice the noises in the daytime only at night, Pitches are on a slight slope and not so level in parts, grass was bare in some areas.

Unfortunately we can do nothing about the trains as it is the main line between Scotland and London even if they are 2 fields away across the river. The distance from the tenting field to the shower block is approximately 200 yards but we appreciate it is not near the bottom of the park. The ducks do wake up as it gets light and will make their presence felt.
