On arrival your greeted with a spectacular view of the surrounding hills and a perfectly maintained campsite. John the owner, greeted us with the warmest of welcomes and couldn't do more for us throughout or stay. The pitch we were given was perfect with views of the hills and sounds of the river. Level pitch, bowling green lawns and great toilet facilities. Allowed to stay on site until we were ready to leave which is a first for me in the UK. One of the best and most peaceful campsites we've ever stayed at, Can't wait to return!!

Everything, what a beautiful place to stay. Perfect for a short or long break away from it all. And John the owner, is such a brilliant host. He made everyone feel welcome, and couldn't do enough for you. We will be back next year thats a fact.

Nothing at all.

We have stayed at many sites over the years and this is the best we have pitched up in.
The setting is stunning, the grass is like a bowling green, the facilities were immaculate and were constantly being cleaned. We went for a large pitch and there was ample space, no stones / twigs etc and it was about as level as could be humanly possibly.
John was extremely welcoming and when we had to leave a night early due to unforeseen circumstances he even followed up the following day to check in. He also managed to rustle up a table for 12 at a local pub at pretty much the last second.
We will definitely be going back and very much look forward to doing so.

Lovely clean site, well kept grass and very clean facilities. The stream at the front was lovely for the kids and provided some shade when the heat was at its highest.

EVERYTHING! Campsite is within lovely green area, quiet and peaceful with a view on a beautiful hills. Short walk from campsite to the castle, garden, interesting old church and local shop. If you are lucky you can get some fresh eggs from neighbours driveways (6 for £1,50). I did 👌
Well maintained grass, paths and fences. Spotless and "elegant, home like" bathrooms (can't even call it just toilets or showers you will see yourself why) very clean!
Amazing lights at night.
Possibility to hire a firepit and get some wood. Lasted all night.
Lastly and most importantly John! Absolute Gem 💎. Helpful, kind, very good communication, cheerful, great personality - cherry on top 😀definitely will be back

Very tranquil, bell tents beautifully furnished and comfortable

Needs washing up facilities. Also tents have little solar powered lights beaming around the bottom of the tent when it goes dark which is aesthetically pleasing from the exterior but not ideal when trying to put young children to bed!

Stunning location, lovely campsite.

Showers on the cold side! But good for the circulation so probably for the best on balance!
