The camping site, only the lower field was open (fine in the winter months) but they had blocked the entrance to the upper field with 2 mini skips of rubbish with no tops! not a pleasant welcome. With the high winds a lot of the rubbish had blown across the site. There were no decent flat pitches for tents (best one was right next to the rubbish bins). The ladies toilets and hand basins didn't have any running water on the Friday evening but after I complained on the Saturday morning this was promptly rectified. Our friends brought a Motor home and they had to park half on the farm track (as did another camper van) because the site was too steep/muddy. Considering the price (£25 per night for tents) I was very disappointed. Perhaps in the summer months the site is OK but it's certainly not equipped for an 'open all year round' site.
