Lovely views - simple camp site - great facilities, camp shop, cafe, bar!

Lovely site, great location for cycling Monsal Trail. We stayed for a weekend in August - it was busy but we had plenty of space. Bar on site was welcome after cycling!

Lovely area for a camping trip located near the Monsal Trail and Dales walking area.

Weekend on site was overcrowded

Fantastic little site , food was amazing

And of course the SKA band didnt disappoint

Laid back site with good amenities, very clean toilets, showers and a handy wash up area with hot water. Great views from all over the campsite, particularly in the top field. We love that you can choose where to pitch up on arrival and enjoyed watching the cows each evening just infront of our camper. Had a very peaceful couple of nights.

We loved the little onsite cafe which had WiFi, did great coffee and a good breakfast. The little shop within the cafe is great for little bits you might need (milk, eggs etc.) or something different (we got some lovely chili cheese).

I don't mind paying for showers at all, but felt 4 minutes wasn't quite long enough when you're paying extra to use them. Would make more sense if they were on a "token" system. Eg. Each camper can have a token to use the shower, but can buy more for a longer shower? Other than that, the site is perfect.

Choice of two fields. The lower was a bit more sheltered, and closer to the site's amenities, but the upper was more spacious and had the better views. Plenty of toilets and showers and all were cleaned regularly. Good shop and cafe / bar on site. Great location - brilliant for walking or cycling. Loved watching the housemartins flit across the field of an evening

Non-existent recycling facilities. That miffed me, to be honest. Cafe & shop shut too early on summer weekday evenings. 5pm is not long enough

Quiet spacious site in the week but probably busy at weekends due to music events held in the Cow Shed cafe bar.
Location - 65 bus to Buxton, Monsal trail, nice walks from site.

No freezer for ice blocks.
No charge points which would be good as no electric hook up.
Data signal is iffy but you can get WiFi in the cafe.

Had all the facilities you need. Easy check in, the live music is an added bonus. Food was excellent from the Cafe onsite.

Lacked the replenishment of toilet paper, hand towels and soap in the toilets.

Not given a formal pitch , just go find a space - much better . And there was loads of space
