That it wasn’t busy and the showers and toilets were kept nice.

The camping field feels secondary to the public using the lake for sports.

Pitches were rubbish , the electric hook up was literally just a cable . We took the dogs for a walk in the woods and there were broken asbestos sheets laying around , these are highly dangerous!!! This is not suitable for motorhome.

The actual pitch is not accurately measured out, the pitch (13) is also very uneven. Washing up facilites are very poor and basic, electric hook up is not a safe set up and slung over the fence, in terms of car parking next to pitch is ok, but the field is rather slanted and in nad weather, parking and moving a car is slippery and potentially dangerous

Convenient for the weekend course at the lake.

Track needs attention as its rutted and car slid trying to go up the hill. Grass hasn't been mown for weeks, needs some attention around pitches and main access routes. Open air sink with cold water is a poor offering.

Pitch was gravel and excellent.
Hook up was convenient.
Information from site if arriving late was very helpful.
Wild swimming was brilliant 🤩

Breakfast was very poor although the coffee was good

Flat pitch for Motorhome. Warm, dry and clean shower and toilet blocks. Quite spot during the night. Short journey to Portsmouth ferry terminal. Great dive centre if you want to learn to dive.

The pitch was good and level

The toilets were soaking. They come in with a hose and spray down the whole shower, toilet and changing area! Not great as they don’t dry and remove the access water so it stays soaking. So when trying to change after a shower you’re trying to change on a soaking floor.

Only place to wash your dishes is in a sink in the field. No hot water, no shelter or lights (when eating later in the evening and needing to clean your dishes)

How close it was to home .
It wasn’t crowded and had plenty of spaces on the pitch .

The distance to The toilets not ideal for anyone with difficulties with walking or back problems.

Quite a distance from the sink with only a cold water hose to wash up in

in the daytime the campsite felt nice and calm but in the evening it was very uneasy with lots of people wondering around the lake.

Never been to a campsite where I felt genuinely uneasy with my children at night so wouldn’t return here.

we also did not have anyone greet us on check-in or check out the only time we saw a member of staff was when we booked an activity for the lake.

Lovely location safe & secure excellent over night stop for Southampton ferry. Hamble Valley literally down the lane across the road.
MO/HO pitches very small with limited space as main road to tent camping runs between the pitches. You have to pay extra to use the lake not free for campers this was disappointing.
Cafe and toilet block good but share the showers with all public swimmers not ideal for small children.
Was okay for overnight stay.
Dog friendly.
