It was a beautifully located campsite with superb views and choice of where you want to pitch up. The facilities were so clean and environmentally friendly and it truly was such a lovely campsite to stay at. The fact there was a firepit by every tent spot was such a nice touch and really easy to get the wood and grill from the hosts. The lady who showed us round was lovely and she told us off a walking spot nearby that was absolutely beautiful (smardale) we went to the viaduct and would 100% recommend really close by! Would absolutely go again we had a great time, thank you!

Relaxed atmosphere, excellent facilities with lots of attention to detail like the recharging points in lockers, fire pits and friendly staff. Plus they don’t try to squeeze too many tents in like some campsites. Great value too!

Nothing at all!

This was our favourite campsite of all the ones we’ve stayed on. The facilities are amazing. Toilet blocks - exceptionally clean, always well stocked. They’re eco toilets and so I didn’t know what to expect but they smelt better than most other campsite toilets.
Shower block-again, really clean. Each shower is in its own little room with a chair and a sink and hooks for your things and then you get into a really decent sized shower, with a basket to hang put all your bits in. (Showers are free)
In the shower block area there are also several sinks for pot washing, a fridge and a freezer and a kettle for communal use, a little seating area for if you’re waiting, a little area with plug sockets and a mirror and several lockers where you can charge your devices. There is also a little shelf where you can leave unwanted items for other people to use.
The site itself is spacious, really well looked after. Cars aren’t allowed on the camping field but there are wheelbarrows to get your stuff to your pitch. Every pitch comes with a firepit at no extra charge, logs are really reasonably priced and kindling is free. The site is also really dark as the toilet blocks and everything are sort of behind it so the views of the stars at night are incredible. The views in the day are equally beautiful as it’s surrounded by hills and countryside. There is no music allowed on the site which is actually lovely, because it’s so peaceful. People are up chatting but there isn’t excessive noise from anywhere and it’s lovely. Dogs, awnings, gazebos, large pitches are all included in the price as standard. The owner is great, couldn’t be more friendly and helpful and honestly they have thought of everything. The little details here really make a difference. I’ve never considered camping without electric for more than a long weekend but here I will because there are so many little things that would make it easy to do. Thank you so much! We loved it! 100% going back.

I love the campsite, lovely and clean, quite, facilities are amazing, tidy, your own campfire provided this place has the most amazing views of the night sky, 10/10. We always love our stay here. Looking forward to out next visit already, highly recommend
