Everything about the campsite was amazing. Great amenities toilets and showers that were cleaned regularly, a freezer and microwave, dishwashing space, drinking water taps all around and a play area for the kids. The reception had a list of local pubs that sold food and had some essential items at reasonable prices drinks and ice creams and of course firepit and logs. It has great views and great location. My partner has been camping loads and said this was the best place he had been to. We will definitely be back again.

Wonderful peaceful family site . Nicely layed out with all amenities clean and user friendly. Staff onsite are all welcoming and happy to spend time answering any questions.

Very clean site with good facilities. Pub and bus stop 15 minutes walk. Buses to Keswick and Penrith.

Reception and shop mostly closed. Only open for a few hours a day and had to search to find someone to help.

Nice campsite. It wasn’t overly crowded considering it was the school summer holidays. The pod was great quality, very nice with underfloor heating and two comfy beds.

The rear of the pod was quite small and the z beds provided were not overly supportive/worn and probably best for small children. We brought air beds but couldn’t fit both in.

One of the best campsites I have stayed at. Helpful owners. Clean facilities. Good showers. Thoughtful additions like local information books to borrow. Beautiful scenery. Community room with fridges and freezer.

The farm is on a excellent location. Views are spectacular and site itself is spotless with a great shower area. The fire pits are a lovely touch and we really enjoyed sitting outside our camping pod with a drink and the warmth. One of the best camp sites I have stayed at.

Only downside were the midgies- This obviously can't be helped but just be prepared with repellant. Compared to campsites in Scotland, they were a minor annoyance at most.

We had to change our plans slightly and this was no problem to the sight. On arrival checking in was quick and easy. A good choice of pitches available for us so able to choose depending on what you want. The view of Blencathra and surrounding fells from our tent was stunning.

Toilet and shower block facilities really clean and well looked after all campers seemed to really respect the rules so no late night issues. The site is big enough to have good facilities but not too big to seem too busy.

Not a dislike but something to be aware of if you pitch in the back field overlooking Blencathra. You do get a bit of traffic’s noise from the A66 between Penrith and Keswick so at busy times of the year you may notice it more.
