The dog walk trail, people and staff friendly

Not a quiet place to relax and chill and for the husband to do a spot of fishing, it was extremely busy with fishermen coming from all over, fishing all day and night right outside our cabin, had to keep the curtains closed as one was constantly staring in, fishing gear all over the place, had to step over it and walk around to get to our cabin. TV had no digital signal, wifi wouldn’t work inside cabin because of the trees, this was reported and nothing was done. There seemed to be one set of fishing rules for regulars and one for new people, my husband was told by bar staff he couldn’t purchase a fishing ticket for the next day and that he had to buy it on the day, rules state you can’t set up until you buy a ticket! Yet at 7am people were arriving outside our cabin and started fishing before anywhere was open to purchase a ticket, and this was one of the lakes not on the online booking system!

The site was welcoming, clean, well equipped and quiet at night.

Cabin was amazing, food was amazing, nice atmosphere. Lovely people. My partner enjoyed fishing.

Very friendly site, fishing was very good, plenty of spaces to fish. Staff could not do enough for you. Sunday roast was very good, plenty of food on the plate, would not go hungry. Drinks in the Bar are very reasonable. Would go their again.

Lovely site and well maintained. Fishing lakes are really well positioned so that you're never far away from whichever one you choose to fish. The café and bar on site are a nice touch too. Staff are polite and helpful.
The only downside was the swims around the lake. They could do with being dug out so that they are flat. You need a seat with adjustable legs because of the steep bank.

Not a lot.

From the minute we got there they were so helpful, had a gentleman take up to our camping pitch, as there was 2 pitches booked we were given the double pitch.
Its a lovely quiet site. Everything was so clean and tidy

Stayed 4 nights had a great time and good fishing the site is very well kept the restaurant and bar are great beer prices are very good and food is of good quality and price all the staff are friendly and helpful the governors are always there to help would highly recommend will certainly be going back
