Hi thank you so much for leaving us a review. We are glad you liked the toilet and shower block. I will answer you review the best i can. The electric is metered and charged per unit (which you would have been told about when you checked in at the office, you were also told that any units you have left on the meter will be refunded to you upon leaving. You were told to take a picture of the meter, which you did and the correct amount was refunded to you.) So, if the electric you bought was put on your electric meter and you showed us what was left, then that's what was left! I can't argue with the facts! Most other campsites don't even refund unused electric. The 'funny coloured water' is a dye that protects the fish from being overrun with algae that can effect their breathing, so its put in the ensure the fish are kept healthy, along with the aerator systems to provide extra oxygen. We take the health and safety of our fish very seriously so protecting them over a guest 'not liking the colour' of the water is something we will ALWAYS do. We are on a water table which is why the water levels are completely out of our control. This means that when there's a very dry summer with no rain the water levels drop and even if you try to fill them up, the water just goes back into the land and will stay at the same level. Most of the UK are struggling this year with water levels if they are on the water table due to lack of rain. Lorries going past on a main road is slightly out of our control too iam afraid. We have an emergency phone number that you could have rang if other guests were being disrespectful and not following site rules and someone would have come over and sorted this problem out. By leaving a review 3 months after your stay seems a little bit pointless as there's nothing we can do about it now. Like i said if you had of contacted us at the time (via the phone number, visiting the office, or even coming over the the bar or restaurant) we could have dealt with the noise from the other cabins, explained to you about the water levels and the dye in the lakes and could have educated you slightly on this subject.
