N'a pas aimé : I dislike the fact that it leads people to believe there were showers available at at cost of £3. This I can accept. What I can't fathom is there were no such showers avaliable. Upon asking where the showers were, the answer was"many people think that the showers are here all the time.Only when enough people are on site". No means of fully washing oneself without exposing yourself to anyone else who's around. There is no entertainment or eating facilities whilst I was there, and begs the question where these facilities are likely to be. It's just a field with portaloos and standtaps, nothing else. Either the owner is misleading potential campers or Pitchup is.(I find it highly unlikely that Pitchup would want to mislead people). If you want to just have a place to stay the night without washing properly, fine, but wouldn't recommend more than one night. Not what I would call value for money! Other than that the chap who visited us ( not sure if he was the owner) was very pleasant and polite. I won't be using this campsite for any future visits. Up to you if you want to risk it.

We have worked with Pitch Up for the past 6 weeks to try and make it clear that showers, VIP toilets and entertainment are only available on Bank Holidays.
From the 21st July, there will be 2 permanent showers on site.
This is because we are currently working through the planning process witH Yorkshire Dales National Park to build a permanent toilet and shower block.
