Stunning views all around the site with easy access to river walks. Having evening entertainment was a bonus as was the breakfast buns and drinks available to buy in the barn. There was a selection of young farm animals too which really added to the whole farm experience. Being able to make our own campfire was great fun making the evening very cosy and relaxing. We'll definitely be visiting again next year.

Thank you for your review. As you'll see in my response to a similar review regarding showers on the same weekend, since 12th June 2023, we have had 1100 pitch bookings and approx 3,500 visitors. Only 128 people have had showers in those 69 days.
At the start of 2023, we hired in VIP showers, but they cost us £1,500 per week and weren't economically viable.
Our challenge is that on Bank Holidays, especially when it's wet, people all want showers at the same time.
Next year, we will consider putting a time limit on showers during Bank Holidays to reduce queue times (I think we assessed the maximum queue time was 20 minutes this year).

Please let me give the context that there were 364 pitches occupied over the same weekend as you (approx 1,000 people). On site, we received 2 complaints over the weekend and responded accordingly, and since we're received 8 reviews below 8/10.
The overwhelming feedback has been that the (free) entertainment on every night of the weekend was a welcome addition and enjoyed by most.
Most people recognise that after 2 weeks of heavy rain and a weekend of down-pours, our team were working really hard to keep facilities clean and serviceable - whilst concurrently running activities, the bar and food. Again, overwhelming feedback was positive in this area.
As I put in a pervious review, Farm & Fell Campsite exists for everyone, but it was founded during COVID to give an outlet for families on marginal subsistence. In every decision I make, I'm thinking of hard working families who are struggling to get the money together to get away for the weekend....that's why so much of what we do that involves children is free. What you see as average and basic - many of our campers see as affordable and nutritious (not to mention 100% traceable, grass fed, no antibiotics, high animal welfare, low carbon footprint - to name a few).
