A aimé Swimming pool out of use during our stay. Ablutions generally clean. Showers need a card. We were given this on arrival. I was told it had 10 x 7mins showers. I had one, my wife then tried with no success. In the morning reception refilled the card and my wife got her shower. But no way to know what happened. Bins also seem to need some card to open, maybe same card, it wasn't explained. Launderette was heavily used by staff day we arrived, but got in there next day.

N'a pas aimé Showers small with poor changing or dry storage. No toilet paper, no soap, no hand drying. Toilet entances are open opposite each other. Sinks are readily visible to casual unintentional observance, ie you have no privacy at sinks and mens urinals. Not spacious pitches.

N'a pas aimé Modern larger tents seem to leave much smaller gaps. But plenty of playroom elsewhere.

With regard to spacing, as you mentioned, modern tents can vary significantly in size, which can sometimes make pitches feel closer together during busier periods, which it was during your stay. We always do our best, at our discretion and subject to availability, to accommodate individual requests wherever possible. On this occasion, we extended a goodwill gesture by allocating you our spare electric pitch to provide you with what you needed at the last minute during a particularly busy time. While this was not something we were obliged to offer, we believed that doing so would make your stay smoother and more comfortable. A aimé Well spaced & proportioned level pitches. Clean well equipped facilities. Short walk to canal side pub.

N'a pas aimé A little pricey, but it did include unmetered electric. Only 2 toilets and 2 unisex showers with 1 additional disabled facility to share between campsite and canal marina. Facilities are quite remote from campsite which feels like it is an after thought bolt on. No clear signage into camp site (behind black gates, visible immediately as you turn off the road). Surprising amount of heavy traffic noise from adjacent B488. Low level noise from railway line that others mentioned. Yes it was rainy when we stayed, but pot holed muddy gravel roads around the site.

A aimé Tidy & clean small site. Friendly efficient staff. Pitches quiet and separate from pub car park. Popular good pub and food. Bitter was well above average, I can only speculate they have the secret of keeping pumps & pipes clean, where so many others appear ignorant these days. Close to spring source of the Thames. No WiFi at pitches, but we had good 4G signal and satellite dish aligned easily.

N'a pas aimé We felt it a little pricey for a limited simple site, but it does include unmetered electric. Only 1 combined toilet/shower a little distant from the pitches. Bathroom is somewhat outdated, but it was clean & heated.
