A aimé Spacious pitch by Lake 4. Very peaceful at this time of year Great Bar and lovely meal in the restaurant. Site is dog friendly everywhere except the main Restaurant but you can eat with your dog in the spacious bar area. Staff are excellent here and this is one of our favourite places to stay

A aimé This site is having a major refurbishment so if you plan to stay keep this in mind…. That said ….. This is a beautiful and peaceful site yet a few minutes drive to Newcastle. Three pubs in the village 15 min walk away only the pub at the train station allows dogs inside but they were really lovely there. Little friendly village shop with plenty of essentials and more. (Closes for lunch so keep this in mind). Bus stop and train station 15 min walk away so able to take day off driving .. Hexham was lovely (£6 return). The warden is a lovely knowledgeable fella . The toilets and shower block are very old skool but clean and well maintained. Lovely hot shower and a good washing up area. I hope to come back once the site is finished and see how it looks.

A aimé Lovely site of which we have used 6 times now… Food is always lovely and plentiful.. Staff in the kitchen and Bar are brilliant and always friendly. Bar prices very reasonable. 10/10 for the facilities on site.

A aimé Brilliant site so peaceful Well appointed pitches Small Shower block and toilets Great for dog walks Children’s play area Magical hidden gems around the site Friendly owner who came over on arrival to check we were settled. Two pubs listed are shut down BUT 15 minute walk finds a well stocked shop and Pub/Restaurant, Turn left from site entrance. Plenty of choice of takeaway deliveries available via Just Eat.

A aimé Nice clean and secure site Hot shower and spotless toilets Site is basic in its presentation but has everything you need . Dog friendly and friendly staff Very secure

N'a pas aimé Not the wires fault but the Dogs in the kennel up the road were charming at 1-4am 😂
