The staff were very helpful and friendly and the washing and toilet facilities were excellent and clean. The layout of the site was also very good with amply sized pitches and plenty of space overall. Being in our 50s and not into late night partying, the quiet nature of the site suited us very well and the close proximity of the local shops was convenient as were the pop up food vans.
The "Big BMX" used to lead new arrivals to their pitches made me smile and was indicative of the laid back nature of the site.
We had a very pleasant, relaxed stay and will undoubtedly return.

Clean, tidy and well managed site. Inexpensive. Fire pits and bar a bonus.

A bit exposed & windy. Be prepared to take your rubbbish with you.

Location is perfect for walking and The Bear pub is a 20 min walk away. Sharon, the host was very friendly. Site is well set out, with plenty of space.

Wasn't keen on the toilet as both men and women shared the same area.

We wanted a 'proper' camping experience, and thats exactly what we got.
Yes there are amenities like hot showers, toilets, coffee van, and bar!
(Adults need some respite) but in regards to the pitch and location, you can't get a more beautifully isolated feeling. Views out down to the valley, wild long grass juxtaposed next to your manicured camping pitch. Kids can play in the centre field all day long, surrounded by a natural long grass enclosure nonstop them wondering into others pitches!

This is a lovely campsite with a getting away from it all feel while being close to amenities. The location is excellent with Shining Cliff woods just around the corner. Owner was very friendly and accommodating. Beautiful views.

No rubbish disposal on site so had to take all our rubbish with us (in very full cars on a very hot day).

The campsite is in a lovely location. Facilities are good and it's clear with the bar and music on the weekend that there's a nice group of regulars that come along. Very friendly and can highly recommend.

Amazing facilities including a bar a night and coffee van in the morning. Wonderful clean toilets and showers on a well-maintained campsite. A very friendly welcome from Sharon, who was extremely knowledgeable about the local area.
